My right ear has a 10 gauge hole in it still and the other is just a ridiculous mess! Thank goodness there's a doctor who takes pride in his work and fees a little bad for my TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and willing to fix BERNACKIS mess...7 MONTHS later! !

An OCULARFACIAL plastic surgeon that does reconstructive surgeries, on burn patients, facial trauma (car wrecks, facial stabbings) etc is a very good choice in repairing/reconstructing your ear lobes..I have a "born with" r.drooping eyelid...I had it repaired (eyelid lift) about 40yrs ago..Now it is drooping again and cuts off part of my vision. My l.eyelid is also drooping (my age) but not as bad..I'm retired RN but do not know any plastic surgeons and friends deny having "eyelid lifts"..(like we can't tell). So I opted to go with an Ocularfacial plastic surgeon that does restoration work. He trained in the military so had awful facial injuries to deal with..In looking at his eyelid work of course they look great...I asked him if he had any pictures of the ones that didn't turn out great...he laughed...I was serious...SO,,ck out your PS work in fixing those stretched lobes...If he doesn't have any pics or brushes your request aside...look for another PS...good luck...oh and my 39yr old daughter has those larger holes in her earlobes BUT she only has a small size and you really can't tell as her studs(whatever you call them) are small. She is a full time spec ed teacher and has 8 kids and pregnant with another! She also has tattoes, but they are placed so in work clothes they do not show..She never planned on stretching her lobes to very large holes...Good luck...

What a terrible surgeon.

Can't they just give you a shot of botox in the lobe?

I struggle to cover them without bandaids I can't wear my hair down at work, plus it's hot I still hate leaving my house answering to clients or strangers why my ears look so "weird or wrong" I've had so many more looks of disgust then before bernacki butchered my ears. It's going. To be a long 6-12 months then do it again by a more experienced surgeon. Thanks

6-12 months? I thought it was going to be 3-6 months. What happened?

I have an appointment in Nov to see if they're ready to be revised but I guess it takes up to a year for the tissue to completely heal,

I am so sorry you had to go through that . There is nothing worse than an unsuccessful procedure along with losing your trust woth a doctor. I just had the same procedure as you. However mine was fairly successful. Feel free to PM me if you would like my doctors info.

Yours look great I'm glad you had a good experience, the amount of time I have to wait to have my ears (my face) fixed is devastating and his attitude rude unprofessional comments, I feel like in any industry if you can't or just don't want to do a job well say that or refer them to someone else, instead of botching it with no remorse

Holy crap. I am looking into getting this done at some point soon, hopefully and crap like this makes me scared. I am almost 30 with a son soon to be born as well. I need to get these fixed to move forward into a nice career. How have things been since.

Not good I still get angry and sad every time I see this mess one has a 10 gauge hole, i thought I has done enough research asked the right questions then he didn't do what I agreed to in my consultation, I wish I had gone to a body mod guy I've heard and seen alot of great work from instead of a 20 year surgeon who butchered me either he's just bad at his job or didn't like me personally not sure my results are the worst I've seen

I'm very sorry you have to go through this. I had the same procedure done back in February. One of them didn't stay closed all the way so I went back to my surgeon twice to have it "fixed" and he did not make it any better either time. My left ear does not look natural right now and this has been hard for me because I am in Business school and this is not helping me keep the confidence I need whatsoever, especially when I am trying to apply for internships. I just wanted to move on from gauged ears. I can only imagine how it has been for you as a mom and everything. I'm sure when its time they'll be able to be fixed up nicely by someone else. Be sure to post pictures!
