So the tape is off my nose and I got to see the unveiling of my new nose.

In my opinion, I think it's insanely adorable. It's like a little button. I asked my friends their opinions and no one said it looked bad which contributed to my already existing opinion (to which I think that the nose looks good!).

Though, when I first looked in the mirror. My heart sank.. I thought "who tf is this person..?". I was scared, to be honest.

But after looking at myself for countless hours in the mirror, I realized that the nose looks great. Is it perfect? Of course not. But I didn't expect to have the perfect nose because there's no such thing. Does it fit my face well? I think so! It makes me look more boyish and less manly, honestly. But I also think I have a boyish face to begin with, so taking out the hard bump in my nose was essentially softening my features.

The nose itself is still very swollen and it's not that easy to breathe through my nose yet. I can describe it as breathing through a straw with the sound of a whistle for every breath.

Can't wait to see how my nose will look when the swelling goes down.

Day 6:

So days 3-6 were so depressing.

I was swollen, I kept going back and fourth between whether or not I liked the chin implant.

I was thinking about getting the chin implant removed to feel a little like myself again (aka waste of money).

But then my splint fell off as I was midst conversation with my mom. I was so nervous because it gave my a chance to see how my nose looked. And I am absolutely IN LOVE with the aesthetic. It's perfect in my eyes. And paired with the chin implant, it's exactly what I wanted. I put the splint back on and am excited for Wednesday to come so I could get the bandages off my nose.

As far as bruising and swelling- still very present, but it's still early in the recovery. I most likely will keep the chin implant. I'm looking at the event of the surprise splint fall as a sign for me to see how good it looks as a combo (nose and chin).

The recovery is insanely hard to get through. It's not fun whatsoever.
I'm so swollen, numb, feeling pressure on my nose, tightness around my chin, and loss of sensation around my chin.

I look like the boy who played Rocky in the movie Mask with Cher. I don't want to show my face because I look like a deformed monster.

On the bright side, I know it's not permanent and the swelling is bound to go down. Hopefully sooner than later.
