Good for you! I took accutane 3 or 4 years ago and it was the best decision I made for my self confidence! I had some light breakouts about 6 months to a year after getting off of it, but milder skin medications worked to clear up, when they didn't prior to the accutane. I am no longer on any skin medication at all, now just switched to anti-aging stuff as I turned 30 a few months ago. Best of luck to you on your journey! Your skin looks great!!
That doesn't sound bad at all compared to where we came from lol. Congratulations and thank you!
I’m so glad this worked for you!!
You look wonderful! I was one of the first research patients for the doctors who developed isotretinoin, and it literally saved my sanity. So worth it!
I'm so thankful. It's almost like it was never there!
WOW!!! My mouth fell open when I saw your end results. Your skin looks SO beautiful! And so do you! :)
Thank u so much

Your skin is so beautiful! You look amazing! I just started accutane so I'm really nervous for side effects but looking at everyone's results give me hope. Congrats!!
Thank you so much. But yes! It's normal. I was super nervous too but once you start seeing results you are gonna be happy that you took the risk. Good luck and God bless.
Just wanted to say you look amazing!!! You could see results like every time you posted pictures. I am 32 and started having acne in my early twenties which is annoying like really I’m 32, and it just seems to be getting worse. Yes I know I contribute to it at times by going on binge popping sessions but I do try my best to be careful if I do pick and use sanitary derm tools so I thankfully don’t have too bad of scarring a couple here and there but I’d take them over the acne . I also noticed from your first photos that I get acne in the same exacts spots as you did like cheeks chin forehead and I’ve read that’s common for women with adult acne especially around the chin and mouth and is hormonal which makes sense since it’s always worse that time of the month. So I’ve tried a tone of over the counter treatments drug store quality and Sephora quality. I have found a few expensive products that do help a lot but spending that kinda of money for possible the rest of my life makes accutane seem financially the best option in the long run even though it will be a lot for some months it’ll save me tons more longterm. I’ve tried to scan through reviews to see if anyone had info on the mental health side affects. I really have been wanting to do this for years I genuinely believe it will change my life for the better and give me the confidence I need to succeed in life in a lot of ways. I’m nervous because I have had do have panic attacks sometimes and mild anxiety most of the time that is pretty manageable since I’ve been actively working on my mental health for years now and I also have bouts of depression that can last long and have been on Prozac off and on for a few years. I haven’t taken in for a couple months because I feel pretty alright these days even though I have a [RS bleep] ton of stress over all sorts of [RS bleep] but I’m handling pretty well. I figure if I get on accutane I would go back on Prozac as a precaution and because its works for me with minimal side effects and I’ve never had any problems when I go off it (no physical withdraw ). Soooo I guess I should look up and see if there are any drug interactions between the two and if anyone else reading this has personal experience please share. So what I am getting at is did you have any bouts of depression or anxiety? I noticed you felt joint pain which that also makes me kinda nervous as I clean houses and waitresses my whole life and am not a metal smith/jeweler so my wrists and knuckles get sore from time to time which makes it hard to work on those days. Soooo I guess I should probably ask a doctor and will but I’d much rather talk to people who have been through the process as well I know it’s a lot of info in one comment lol but I figured other people will read it as well and can add to the convo. I guess I should have made a separate thread lol but I noticed you answered people recently so I figured you would atleast see this comment. I’m also afraid of the first few purge weeks and the dry skin as my skin is mad dry already but I know I can deal with it and it’s worth it. Just a little nervous about long term side effects (my boyfriend did is as a teen he’s 40 now has amazing skin and far as I can tell is healthy as hell sooo) but everyone’s different and I’m curious if you or anyone had any shitty mental health experiences just on the medication and ones of anyone who has a history of Mental illness and how their experience was while on the meds mentally. Sorry that was a lot but thanks for reading. And congrats on your beautiful skin girl it really looks great and is inspiring
Sorry about all the typos. Auto correct. I meant to say that I am now a metal smith. And a few other things but I’m sure y’all know what I’m sayin lol

Finished

Hey guys. Sorry I've been MIA. Busy bee here. Lol. I've been finished since mid October. I must say I am happy with the results. Although I will go in for some healing of the scarring. It's not much but enough. Overall, I am very happy. I've never been so comfortable to walk around without makeup.

do you feel accutane helped your scarring at all?
No. There's a separate treatment for scarring.
What is that treatment called ?
It's called rejavpen but I'm sure I'm going to go with topical treatment instead.
