My first treatment was a fractional CO2 laser for scar revision. I had flown to LA just to have this procedure done. And given his positive reviews online, I chose Dr. Emer to perform it. I was charged $8000 for the procedure excluding the very expensive creams that Dr. Emer sells and highly recommends that you buy. It took about 15 minutes of his time.
After the treatment, I flew back home and emailed Dr. Emer with some progress reports since while there was some improvement I was hoping for a more drastic change. He then replied that he normally does a second pass of the CO2 free of charge 3 months after and that if I could make it back to LA that he would do it for me. So I decided to fly back 3 months later to do another pass of CO2. And it was only once he saw me in person that he told me that it was too soon to do the laser for the second time since my skin was still healing. He then recommended his new “state-of-the-art” NOVA machine instead and ensured that this technology was very advanced. So, following the doctor’s recommendations, I decided to do the NOVA which turned out to be completely useless and made no visible improvement.
After the procedure, I was informed by his then patient-coordinator Melissa (he tends to pass you off to his employees), that this procedure would not be discounted since it was a completely different treatment. But she apologized for the confusion (I’m assuming she recognized how inconvenient this was for me) and assured me that the next time I did CO2 it would be free. So, I flew back home thinking that whenever I had time I would come back to LA and do the second pass. I contacted Dr. Emer by the time that I could save up enough money to come back down to LA and was told that I had waited too long and his patient coordinator Celeste (who ignored my emails twice and was quite rude) quoted me $4000 if I wanted to do another round of CO2 laser. Even after I had explained my situation and told Dr. Emer what Melissa had promised me, he told me that Melissa no longer works for him and that he would not honour whatever it is she had guaranteed me.
Needless to say I was very disappointed by Dr. Emer and his office’s complete disregard for my time and money. I paid thousands of dollars and flew to LA multiple times to see him and he did not seem to care. Him and his team are only in it for the money and once they realize that you cannot line their pockets anymore, they are nowhere near as nic

I had app with dr Emer and I don’t feel comfortable or good about his prices. They were out of proportion. I would rather go to Florida.
