I purchased a 6 treatment Vanquish package. The first treatment was nerve wracking and experienced uncomfortable heat the most in the first 15 minutes. The technician brought in a fan and that helped. The second session was better and drinking a lot of water before and after helped and though I didn't see any visible results, my pants felt more loose. The third session result in a hot spot and subsequent fat lump. The subsequent sessions didn't result in any additional loss (neither in pounds or inches). Now three months later, I'm stuck with this odd lump the size of a half-dollar coin. It was a waste of money, time, energy, and I'm worried about the long term implications of this remaining lump. (Procedure was focused on my stomach.) would strongly discourage this to any one; one because it lacks effectiveness; and two for the safety implications of these lumps.

I had this done to my thighs. It hurt like hell thru all 6 treatments. I had lumps every where the paddle sat. At one point, one was the size of a baseball and the other was the size of the paddle. The one that was the size of the paddle broke up in to two smaller ones. So far only one lump has gone away. The others are various sizes. The worst part of this is that I also paid for the Zimmer, what the doctor referred to as the 'fat cracker'. I asked her about people getting lumps from this and she said that if I got the fat cracker I would not have lumps. May 3rd was my last treatment so I am still in the wait and see mode on the lumps. I lost a few inches from my thighs but I was and still am dieting. I did it mostly to tighten my skin. It's a little better but not much.

Wow. Baseball sized! You poor thing. Do you know what power setting they used? Was it actually touching your skin?

I would try massaging the areas for 5-10 minutes twice a day. Moist heat (i.e. Warm washcloth) should also help. Those also develop with liposuction. Should be better in a month.

I finished my last Vanquish treatment in April 2016 and still dealing with a lump in my lower abdomen. The treatment itself did nothing to reduce fat around my stomach. I followed the instructions and drank gallons of water before and after each treatment, good hydration levels before each session. I think the fat loss people experience is through diet not this procedure. I feel it was a total waste of time, money and not to mention very uncomfortable. Also when my doctor did my measurement she was holding the tape measure real loose, seemed fishy to me so I measured myself very carefully at home and had completely different measurements. I feel ripped off and just hope the big lump will eventually go away. I've read that it should be massaged, but that only inflames it and makes the area tender. End result there is not shortcut to fat loss unless you do Liposuction.

I had the same experience. I purchased 6 Vanquish treatments at a reputable plastic surgery office in Newport Beach. The tech brought in a fan because the procedure was so hot on my skin. I suggested the tech remain in the room at the start to be certain the procedure went as planned. She didn't. It was miserable. I, too, developed a lump on my abdomen and the doctor said it would go away. It didn't. I am very disappointed at the lack of concern at this office and my final outcome with the procedure. I see they no longer promote this procedure on their website, but at the time, it was "the ticket", so to speak. I would also discourage anyone from having Vanquish. It didn't do much for decreasing fat on my stomach and left me with lumps in my abdomen.

Your Dr can inject a steroid Kenolog into that area which is called paniculitis. That should break it up fairly quickly. Keep massaging that area an keep hydrated. Good Luck
