Update
My under eye area still looks great, and I had my two week follow up yesterday afternoon. I needed a tiny bit more botox in my forehead-elevens area and had the tiny bit of Juvederm I had left put in my marionette lines. I am very happy with my results. My only regret is that fillers and botox don't last longer!

Since I turned 45, my tear troughs had become more and more noticeable . No matter how much concealer I used, it looked like I had dark circles under my eyes, especially in overhead lighting. I didn't have true bags, more like a hollowing, which made things look dark under my eyes, even on the rare days I didn't have dark under my circles eyes. After doing hours and hours of research, I chose Dr. Kapadia in Wellesley, MA. I really wanted a oculofacial plastic surgeon because there are a lot of horror stories out there when it comes to fillers in the tear trough area. I ate plenty of pineapple in the week before the procedure since it's supposed to help prevent bruising. I also stopped taking all NSAIDS for two weeks prior. The procedure itself wasn't painless at all because he used numbing cream. I had no bruising at all , but I had really, really bad swelling for two days, which he did warn me about. I also used Arnica cream for a week after, three times per day, and slept with my head elevated for two days, per his suggestions. Now my huge hollows are gone. I don't look 25 or anything, but if I put on makeup, my under eye area looks great , and without makeup I look at least 10 years younger. I got one syringe of Restslyne under each eye and Dr. K had a great bedside manner, no rushing, no pressure. I also got a tiny but of Botox in my elevens and Juvederm to my lips, but I will post a separate review for those procedures after my follow up this Tuesday. In the pic here, you can see my eyes before on top, the morning after the procedure in the middle, and on the bottom, two weeks after the procedure. I only have BB cream and mascara on, so please excuse Amy imperfections here! I recommend this procedure, but not from a regular, every day injector. Go to a board certified plastic surgeon who has specific expertise in the eye area.
