Dr. Athre is personable and pleasant unfortunately the money spent was not for the pleasure of his company. I had previous rhinoplasty and had issues witha bulbous misshapen tip. He assured me that i was in capable hands and stated it would be en extensive and lengthy procedure. Went through the surgery and he bragged that it only took him 1/2 the time and he was very pleased with his results. The results were quite unacceptable. He did correct a few issues but left me with twice as many. I understand revision surgery is difficult and it was my mistake to trust he was capable but wish he would have been more honest with himself about his capabilities.

Hi there, thanks for sharing with us. Can you tell me how long its been since the revision? I'm sorry you're not happy. I would love to see photos if you're willing to share. Best wishes.

I also had surgery with him, it was a primary and my results are horrible. Walked in with a normal looking nose, walked out with a deformed nose. Looks like I've been in an accident.

Hello, sorry to hear about your misfortune. I'm in the same situation right now and feel very depressed. My ps reshaped the bridge of my nose, wich looks fine, but my nostrils are horror and the tip is very long. I'll be looking for a second revision asap, but indeed, hard to figure out who to trust. I too look like i've been in an accident. I wish i could go back to my old nose. :-(

I'm sorry to read about your experience. Dr. Athre was my primary, and yes he is very confident almost too confident during consultation. I wanted only a very slight change to my nose, however 1 1/2 years later I ended up looking like a freak show. I will be seeking a revision very soon to correct the over thinned and scooped out bridge ( i did not want my bridge thinned at all), this poly beak that I now have, and a very round bulbus tip that looks as though there was a marble underneath. I am African American, Dr. Athre assured me that he had extensive experience with ethic rhinoplasty (even though he had no pictures), however instead of gaining a more balance look, I now have a nose that looks odd and unnatural on a black person's face. When I asked about the bulbous tip, he became offended and acted as if it was the way it was supposed to look. I think not. I feel so foolish to have actually paid someone to take away my natural beauty. I do believe Dr. Athre is a very capable surgeon, his staff is professional and courteous, however, like many surgeons, I feel he does suffer from an inflated ego and a God Complex with a tendency of overestimating his own abilities and believing himself infallible.

I'm sorry that both of you had a bad experience with this doctor. I had a revision with Dr bressler and he amputated my nose almost 6 mm, when my simulation showed no change to my profile. I ended up with no tip. Stay away from. Dr bressler
