I had two PRP treatments for hair loss. I am a 55 yo woman with thinning hair, mostly in the crown. I had one treatment in Sept 2016, and the second in Dec,, 2016, with laser treatments in between. I had a huge hair fall in January, 2017, which may or may not have been related. It is now 7 months since my second treatment and I have had 0 new hair growth. It did not work for me at all.

And all of the non-surgical aesthetic treatments with the exception of Botox and fillers there is an unhealthy ratio of theoretical truth versus actual truth. The before and after pictures that are shown by those trying to promote the procedure the hair is usually grown out, sometimes died and position in a way that makes the hair look more prominent. If you do enough treatments somebody’s bound to have a response often due to other variables. this is particularly true for non-invasive body contouring procedures where people will be motivated to look better and drop weight, exercise and have a procedure. The provider jumps on the opportunity and takes before and after picture. The truth is the procedure did nothing and the persons on exercise and weight loss is what is being shown. Considering how close to perfection paragraphs have become at least four male clients The surgical option seems like a no-brainer. Whether Christian or not there are substantial number of providers who should consider adding the line from the lords prayer to the Hippocratic oath. “ and lead us not to temptation“
The medical aesthetics industry is ripe with greed.
Whenever considering a treatment first consult with the most authoritative providers who have access to all tripping options to get their opinion of what works and what doesn’t work.
Obviously surgeons will be biased towards surgery but as surgeons we also see what works and what doesn’t work.
I wish I could say that all doctors followed the golden rule and served as patient advocates but that is unfortunately not the case.
Look for ethical providers who are genuinely interested in your well-being and tell the truth. The real truth not the theoretical truth.
