How much does your surgery cost.

April 24, 2016
You said you not sure how much your surgery cost but yet your are having surgery Monday. So you have had to pay anything out of pocket yet. That doesn't even sound right because all plastic surgeries are paid in full way before 2 days of surgery. Well good luck.

Maybe I didn't word it to where you could understand. I said in my previous comment. My insurance is covering my surgery so no I do not know how much it will be costing but I will have a copy of the bill once everything is done and THEN I would be able to tell you how much my surgery is. Hope I explained it well and thanks for the good luck

okay. Did your insurance require you to have previously documentation from you primary care or did you Plastic Surgeon get the insurance company to approve you. Reason I'm asking cause I want to get mine done. I'm a 40 G. I was wondering what kind of documentation the insurance company require you to have. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. Thank You.

I've been researching breast reductions for over 3 years and I learned it depends on your doctor insurance and city. I have two different types of insurances and blue cross blue shield is one of them but that's not the insurance I got approved on. But a lot of people tell me with that insurance they have to pay a co-pay. I would recommend you going to see your primary care and tell them you're interested in the procedure and for them to recommend you to have a consultation with a plastic surgeon. For me I did physical therapy as well not that I thought it would work but to basically build a better case for my insurance to help me get approved. Insurance companies want you jumping through hoops just to make sure it's really a health issue. But because my primary care and surgeon works in the same hospital they transferred all my documents o each other electronically if I would've went with a different surgeon then I would've have to get the documents together myself to give to my surgeon so he/she could present it to my insurance company along with their recommendation of course. My consultation was February 16th. I was told it could take up to a month to get approved. Because they didn't have my updated information for some odd reason I missed my first scheduled surgery date which would've been March 30th. The most recent one after that one was April 25th which is two days before my birthday but I'm sucking it up cause this is something I want extremely bad. But I hope I answered some of your questions sweetheart.

Thank You so much. I really appreciate you answering my questions. You helped me out a whole lot. Well I guess I will settle for Tummy Tuck for now until I can get some more money saved up for my reduction. Thanks again.

You're welcome love. But I'll still say try the reduction. You may not have a co-pay or it literally may not be nothing. Won't hurt til you try but hope everything goes well with everything

I've been in healthcare over 20 years. You'd have to provide letter of medical necessity from your physician (the doctor would need to document how the situation you have effects your life i.e. back problems, pain discomfort as well as other efforts you've made with no success) feel free to let me know if you need help writing an appeal if you are denied.

And the letter should come from your primary doctor or a specialist other than cosmetic or plastic.
