4 weeks post surgery. Really worried about the amount of swelling praying it goes down. Dr Fripp is amazing and she is very hands on. I’m interested in getting a BBL perhaps next year.she has two offices. The main in DC and the second in Bowie. She doesn’t have many before and after pictures but it was still a good experience. Updated on 18 Oct 2017: Very upset because my lift is sagging and tummy is still distended. Feel like I waisted my money. Hoping she will be able to do some revisions
Great experience all around! Dr Fripp is Very professional and attentive. Extremely easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. Staff is just as welcoming. Went in for consult and scheduled procedures within the next month. Scheduler stayed with me and kept me encouraged leading up to the procedure day. I was not nervous for results as much as I was to go under. However that day the medical staff helped ease my mind tremendously. Within no time I woke up in recovery. Minimal pain just discomfort. 4th day post opp appt still swollen but my goodness the results were amazing even with swelling. I am 2 weeks post op and things will continue to only get flatter

Hello ladies, I've been lurking this site for months but didn't want to tell my story until I was close to my date. Well l'm a 41 year old mother of two handsome, wonderful young men. I've been toying around with the idea of getting a tummy tuck for years. Last December I finally decided to go and see how much it would cost and what would it really be like. My wonderful, and nice PS told me that what I needed was a mini tuck with lipo. Before then I didn't know a mini tuck existed. You can see I really didn't start my research until after my appt. I was excited about what she told me and have been on YouTube and this site every since. I enjoy reading all of your stories the good, bad, and ugly. You guys just don't know how much you've help me feel more comfortable with having this done. Thanks and please feel free to give me ALL the advice you care to give. Oh did I mention I'm getting nervous each day as I get closer??? I'll be posting before pictures soon. Updated on 23 Apr 2013: It's getting real now. Monday is the big day. Went to my pre-op appt today, paid in full, and received my prescriptions. I'm so freaking nervous I don't know what to do. Updated on 12 May 2013: Hey ladies, let me start by saying today I am post op day 14. I tried to write something when I was post op day 4 from my phone and when my phone rung it erased everything that I had written. So now I'll try to go back from the beginning and work my way up to today. The day of surgery was a good day. I was excited and thought the surgery went rather well. I was in surgery for 2 1/2 hrs. and was released two hrs later. I was very tired so I slept the rest of the day. When I did wake up I felt like I've done a million sit ups. I took a pain reliever and was out for the rest of the night. The good thing was I was never in pain I was just sore. Day two I was still tired and took a half a pill and just rest the remainder of the day. By day three I was feeling good did more moving and was just sore when getting up and getting back down. Day four it was time to go back to the doctor and I saw my tummy for the first time. My doctor said everything look good and I agreed. I was still swollen but saw great results!!! She took my drain out ( no pain), cleaned me up and I won't see her again until the 24th. The last few days have been up and down. My stomach is still swollen some days are better than others. I keep having this funny feeling in my stomach sometimes a little burning feeling and itching. Overall, I love my new tummy and can't wait to see how I'll be in the weeks to come. I'm headed back to work tomorrow so I hope all goes well. Oh I having put up pics because I don't know how to add them from my iPad it says something about checking my setting so when I figure this out I'll add my photos. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!!!!
The staff was very nice. I have my panniculectomy February 23rd surgery which went fine. On one visit she accidentally cut my lift side drain and left and non dissolving suture in for about 4 weeks. She didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to her. My right drain remained in for about 6 weeks until it started to slip out of my body because the sutures came undone. I had to pay out of my pocket for special gauze and tape which wasn't cheap because I was bleeding from the drain area which she knew of. My last visit she totally release me to work out with no restrictions. I called to get another appointment because I was still in pain and my abdomen was very tight even around the pelvic bone. She told me that I should be healed and not feeling any pain and told me to call my primary care doctor. The whole process she never drew any blood or did any test on me. Soon as I saw my primary care doctor he he drew blood and found out that I was highly anemic and I had to get iron infused treatment and was sent to a reconstructive surgent for my pain and tightness. I feel as though the doctor office should have a recovery team for those who have questions or may have complications.
First of all, thank you to those of you who have posted on here. Your comments have provided me with such valuable information. My physician was so surprised at how much I knew and that I had such realistic expectations. I am 41 and the mother of four children. Next week I am going to have a breast lift, tummy tuck and liposuction of the abdomen, back, flanks and inner and outer thighs (saddle bags). I can't wait to update you and post pictures. The costs I quoted does not include the facility and anesthesia fees. Updated on 16 Sep 2010: This has been the best thing that I could have done. Everyone who sees me comments on how wonderful I look. I love my new breasts and I cant believe that I have a flat stomach. I have gone from an XL shirt size to Large. I have not gone down a pant or skirt size but my clothes fit so much better with a flat stomach. A lot of the swelling is gone and my doctor says I will lose even more.
I'm 3 1/2 months post op and I have been concerned lately with my stomach bulging. I went for another follow up with my PS yesterday and she believes my muscle repair sutures have become loose. That was the hardest blow ever, I have wanted this surgery for so long and for her to tell me this broke my heart. She suggest that I tone my stomach with abdominal excercises (which I can't do right now because my muscles are still sore) and she ruled out me having a hernia. She also said that she wouldn't want to open me back up to re-do the sutures if this is the case. Has anyone ever had their sutures loosen after having tummy tuck with muscle repair and if so were you able to have them repaired again? I'm devastated
Want a C cup or D Want back pains to go away Healthier life Look more proportioned Can fit until clothes and not feel awkward Back, shoulder and neck pains to leave Overall I just want to feel and look better about myself once my surgery is done. Tomorrow is the big day. Around 20 years ago i tried to have this done but insurance did not approve. Now 20 years down the road lets go. I'm scheduled for 830 need to be at hospital at 630. Not scared just anxious. I know I want be sleeping tonight but will try. Currently I'm a 36 DDD she said we will go down to a d. Can't wait. Updated on 15 Nov 2013: Hi everybody, Thanks for all prayers and good wishes. 2 weeks before surgery I received a call from doctors office asking if we can move the surgery up 1 week. I got a little scared and anxious. OK no problem. I dragged my feet and did not give up smoking until 5 weeks before original surgery now only 4 weeks without smoking. I also have a cold. Calm down. Had pre-op labs and saw my medical doctor and all clear for OR 11/11. Surgery went well until recovery room nurse did not like that my blood pressure was dropping. Surgical resident came in not even 5 minutes I think I was drugged. He would call the attending. I had a hematoma in my right breast and had to go back to surgery. I was admitted and in my room by 7pm. Discharged the next day and everything good so far. Not a lot of pain. Boobs look great. Will update if anything news. Updated on 15 Nov 2013:
Hello All!! After several years contemplating the procedure, I FINALLY got the guts to pursue it. The 3 1/2 month process has been a little frustrating (denied, appealed, approved), but NOW it's finally happening! My consult is the 30th, I've done research, and I have tons of questions. Will KYP! Updated on 31 Jul 2013: Had my consult yesterday, and Dr. Fripp made me feel so much better. She was very patient with me, as I had 4 pgs worth of questions! Her answers were very informative and clear, and she has a great sense of humor. I feel very lucky and comfortable with her. Of course I'm still anxious and nervous, and even thought a "few" more questions AFTER I left. I will try to add B/A pics. Thanks for the support! Updated on 7 Aug 2013: Finally got up enough courage to post BEFORE pics. Be gentle :)
Mary 777, Your question requires more information before a clear answer can be given. Did you have preopeative photos and your weight taken? The photos can be critiqued to determine if any contour improvements were achieved. Likewise with the weight; if you had significant weight gain after the procedure, your results would be compromised. One additional area to consider is that certain exercise regimens cause an increase in muscle mass which make you gain bulk instead of slimming you physique. Before having another Liposuction procedure have an open dialogue with your Plastic Surgeon to ensure that he/she understands your areas of concern.
