Day 9

Hello again!

It's day 9 today. I still have my stitches and will get them removed tomorrow. Like I said before I feel like my doctor could take more skin out. In the summer I will try fat transfer and see how long it lasts and how much volume can we add that way. My scar seems to be healing fast. The only worrying part is a little bumb on the right hand side (top stitch). I tried to smile, but my skin is tight and I want to avoid stretching my scar. It stills feel fragile.

I will post before and after side by side in one week for you to compare the changes.
Have a lovely weekend people!

xx,
S.

You look beautiful, your skin is gorgeous! Your scar looks like nothing, hardly noticeable. Great job!

Thank you @hollyhobby. I took my stitches out today. My skin looks a little red and lumpy but incision itself is perfect and barely noticeable.

Your scar line looks amazing. Your doctor did a great job.

Thank you Adele. Unfortunately I have a small infection on one side. Will have to see another surgeon tomorrow to look for possible remains of the stitches.

I think it looks really nice and natural. If the doctor took off more maybe it would look done and unnatural? I think it was a very nice inprovment. I am getting this done soon so looking at all the pics and figuring out how much to take off.

Day 3 | Not much difference in my look

My sister came to see me today. That was nice.
Unfortunately she couldn't see much of a difference in my look. ;(
Swelling went down as well as the volume in my lips.
The only thing that I noticed is - when I hold my mouth slightly open my teeth are visible (just a little).
Is was almost impossible before the surgery!

Anyway I really feel like 12mm would do better job then 7mm.
I will double check the gap between my nose and top lip once I am fully healed (approx. 2 weeks).
It was 19mm before the lip lift.

Kisses!

The lip lift is not really going to give you more volume. It's designed to accomplish more tooth show (which looks like happened in your case) and more of the red part of your lips showing. Your lips were quite thin from the beginning, and your philtrum was long so if you went for fillers with your "before" situation, you would likely get duck lips. Now you can probably accomplish the fuller lips you are looking for by getting some fillers. With the new tooth show, it will look really nice. I also liked when my lips were more swollen after the surgery, but I knew it would eventually come down. Look at some of the other reviewers here who had thinner lips like yours (jaubrey is a good one). Most of them ended up getting filler after the lip lift and getting the look they were after. My lip has finally settled down most of the way now that I am about 90 days post-op, and I am going to look into a good doctor for getting filler locally. I think you should wait until all your swelling goes down. Trust me, your lip will change shape a lot before you will get to your final result. You have to be patient, but if you still aren't happy when the swelling in your lips and nose goes down all the way, you can get fillers.

Thank you @TinyLip. I will check @Jaubrey profile. I had injections a few years ago but didn't like them as they didn't last more then 3 months and created some sort of bumbs under the skin. I was already thinking about fat transfer to my lips after I heal up.

Day 2 | Back to London

I am attaching pictures from yesterday - Day 2 - as well as my inspiration (wish result).
Headache was gone completely. :) Only discomfort around a base of my nose but manageable.

Surprisingly the journey was quite pleasant. Trains and flight were on time. Lucky me!
People starred at me a lot and guy at passport control asked me if I had an accident...

So far so good. No bleeding. :)

I think your inspiration look was somewhat unrealistic because that woman had more volume to her lips to begin with, and if you look at her final result, it's much less full than the "after" picture you have attached. She even mentioned in her review that her lips went down quite a bit, but she appreciated the more natural look.

Hello @TinyLip! I am aware of a difference in volume between my lips and the inspiration. I was only hoping for more skin to be removed in order to reveal more pink and shorten very long distance between my nose and the top lip. It was 19mm before the surgery and is 13mm now. Not enough in my opinion.
