I had a consultation with dr Osuch over 12 years...

I had a consultation with dr Osuch over 12 years ago , when I felt my eyes started to show signs of aging . And dr Osuch talked me out of upper lid surgery at this point !
Showing excellent knowledge in his field of expertise he predicted that my face will need a different kind of procedure to regain youthfulness . So there I was 12 years later , putting absolute trust in his recommendation to have a brow lift .
Yes, I did spend quite a few moments pulling my forehead up in front of the mirror, trying to imagine my face post-op , but remembering the measured , professional and objective attitude of dr Osuch helped me to overcome any doubts.
What I also appreciated greatly was , from the first visit , the caring , charming and personal approach of every member of dr Osuch's team .
After completing a series of tests ( this can be arranged very conveniently by the clinic) It was time for my operation .
On arrival I was shown into the pristine hospital room where I was to wake up after the operation. This was followed by a visit from an anaesthetist who run me through the procedure and made sure I was relaxed and comfortable with what was coming , then the final moment with dr Osuch drawing those blue lines on my forehead .
Next I was in very skilful and practised hands of the operating theatre team . They made sure I was comfortable , painlessly prepared me for the general anaesthetic and then I woke up !
First impression- no pain or discomfort . The hospital bed felt very cosy and I had a few hours sleep. Then a visit to the bathroom and first look in the mirror. I was sporting a bandage round my head but , to my greatest surprise ,my face did not show any signs of trauma. No swelling , no bruising . Couldn't believe it .
Dr Osuch visited me to see how I was and then I spent the rest of the day and night dozing off , perfectly comfortable with a lovely nurse looking after the painkiller dosage .
The next morning I still marvelled at my unspoilt looks then after all the necessary checking out of hospital arrangements I went home .
I have had a couple of operations in my life and wasn't looking forward to the tedious and sometimes unpleasant aftercare. None of this occurred . The bandage was to stay on till the first post-op visit in a week's time . Course of antibiotics ,couple of days of taking it easy and I was basically fine . Negligible amount of bruising round the eyes and a rather amusing numbness of scalp , but no pain . Almost started to consider to wear headbands from now on .
Back in a clinic a week later my bandage and a first lot of stitches were removed by dr Osuch and we discussed the results . Happy . My long hair was washed and dried and I could leave the clinic with no bandages or dressings , but opted for a small plaster covering my widow's peak , simply because the faint markings were the only indications as to what happened to my face . Apart from it looking good , of course !
I am writing this three weeks on , the stitches are gone , my widow'peak is presentable , the numbness of my scalp is almost gone and I feel great . Especially when putting mascara on - my lashes are free from the droopy lids . The best part however is catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror and seeing my old/younger self again instead of a sad looking middle aged version , which is gone !
