I had lost 30 pounds and wanted to just firm up a few areas. I read on Facebook about an open house at a facility about 45 minutes away from my town. I attended the open house where I was impressed by the knowledge of the CoolSculpting rep. CoolSculpting wasn’t presented as a gimmicky solution to rid the body of fat, but a tried and true (here are the facts) non-evasive medical procedure like a tummy tuck or lipo. The cost for this medical blessing...almost $7500.00. I called for an appointment after almost two months of consideration and discussion with my husband. I had the procedure done on my chin, 3 pulses on my tummy, inner thighs and bra area. I was assured that although results were not guaranteed, NO one had not shown some positive results. They basically had to say results were not guaranteed for legal reasons was the way they made it sound. I went in on Nov. 27 for my first session and four more after that. One of the sessions was to apply 3 more pulses on my tummy. I was told it would typically take 12 weeks to see full results but possibly up to 15 weeks. I went in on March 21, 2018 for a follow up. The technician took my pictures for comparison. She said she didn’t really see the results but that we would probably be surprised by the difference when we see the pictures. When we looked at the pictures she didn’t see where I had any appearance of decreased fat cells, in fact she said it appeared as though I was thicker at the top of my abdomen. The only thing she could think of was that I needed to do a cleanse and recommended a local office that offered a cleansing program. She told me to come back after the cleanse. The bloating, I learned after some research, was caused from a soluble fiber supplement I had started taking. I quit taking the supplement and the bloating dissipated. There has been no effort to contact me from the technician to see if anything has changed. I’m left with the same body I started with back on Nov. 27, 2017. It was a TOTAL waste of money and time. If you or someone you know is considering CoolSculpting, please think twice and know that it doesn’t work for everyone. In fact, I haven’t talked to or heard of anyone that has a success story.
