My daughter is 9. Pre-baby I was 5'7", 128lbs with B cup breasts. I worked out, ate healthy and was very confidant and loved my body. After having one baby naturally and breast feeding I kept waiting and working to get my pre-pregnancy body back. Reading about celebrities "bouncing back" and metabolism slowing as we get older, I felt I just needed to work out more, cut out cheese(ha ha), not drink etc, etc. I had never been worried about those things before, but now I figured I had to be. I finally realize what pregnancy did to my body. Diastasis recti, filling my breasts up to bowling balls and then shrinking back. No amount of a healthy life style is going to get me what I want.
I am now 140 lbs with VS 34 D cup. I mention VS because my surgeon told me their sizing is inaccurate, but I don't have bras from anywhere else. In a bra, I am happy with the size, but out of a bra, they are lower than preferred. And of course I have the requisite right boob a bit bigger. Not sure if it was pre-baby, but definitely noticed when I was breast feeding and they were bigger than my head!
I am now scheduled for Abdominoplasty that includes fixing the Diastasis Recti and pulling the skin down without cutting the belly button. My surgeon explained it was between a mini and a full tummy tuck. I am also scheduled for a breast lift with anchor scar and augmentation.
I have been researching like crazy and have been brainwashed with boob pics. I started out wanting my breasts to look natural, but obviously higher. I've even considered a lift only. But looking at all the great cleavage in bikinis has me considering high profile (I believe boob greed is the term). I feel it is much easier to manipulate the outcome with a flat chest. Because I do have some breast tissue, will that create a slightly more natural shape even with high profile? The problem with high profile, is I'm not excited about all the extra cc's needed for my breast diameter. Can the breast diameter be made smaller during the lift?
It's really difficult to find pictures of a breast I like, when the girl was my size before surgery. I guess I still picture myself as being 24. Any suggestions would be helpful. Of course I will be talking to my surgeon as well. Just want to make the correct decisions and my husband is supportive, but unhelpful in these decisions. I need a body stylist!

Talked to PS
I've talked to my plastic surgeon and in order to fill the breast after the lift and get me the nice shape I like, I'll have to use a low profile or slightly higher. I believe the low profile would be 265 and if I go one step higher it jumps to about 315. The implants will be around 12 centimeters in diameter. I have breast tissue that will cover and create a natural shape. The implant will create some upper pole fullness. Unfortunately I do not have quite enough breast tissue to create the fullness with just a lift. I'm glad they will look natural, and hoping they will be perky with these procedures. I want to be able to wear a bikini and feel confident.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery! Hoping everything turns out just the way you wish :)

Thank you for your support! It looks like your revision is a few days before my surgery.

Hiya, have you had any more thoughts about your implant? Similarly to you I want natural looking but want the fullness up top! My surgeon has recommended round moderate profile for this and I'm going with a small implant of 200 or 225. Originally I had been hoping for just an uplift but for the fullness require a small implant. Are you going over the muscle?
X

December 18, 2017
definitely under the muscle. I wish I could do a smaller size, but it’s determined by the breast diameter. I keep reading about explants because they pop up in my email. It just confuses me.

December 18, 2017
actually wish I could do a higher profile without going giant. That is for ladies with very little breast tissue though.
December 18, 2017
My surgeon hasn't mentioned the breast diameter.. it all get a so confusing! Have you tried using bags if rice? I'm finding it's difficult to actually imagine the end result! Have you shown your surgeon photos of what you aspire to? X

December 18, 2017
I tried rice bags, but haven’t showed the plastic surgeon yet so I have no idea how many cc’s a cup full of rice is. Fun to try on more, but in reality they would cause sagging. Also it took. lot of work I try to make them the right shape. I showed my PS pictures, but recognize that my pictures are all over the place. Maybe ht is better since you can’t just pick a pair!

Also, the breasts I like the most I can’t get. PS pointed out that the girl in the pic began with little breast tissue and has a much more petite body.

Pre-op Pictures Implants or Not?
Here are my before pics. I am very excited for my more than a mini tummy tuck and muscle repair. PS told me scar will be very low. In addition to not feeling comfortable with the way my tummy looks, I can't hold my pee if I say, try to do 100 jumping jacks. PS cannot guarantee a fix for this, however I have read that repairing the muscles can have a positive result on incontinence especially if you went through natural child birth. I did. I look better when I have worked out, but get discouraged because my tummy doesn't get flat. I have also read that doing certain abdominal exercises makes the diastatsis recti worse.
My right breast is uncomfortable and gets in the way. The skin in both feels loose because of size change and back again during pregnancy. To be honest, if both my breasts looked like my left, I would not get anything done. That being said, since I'm going to fix the right breast, I want them both lifted and skin tightened using an anchor lift. Tissue and a bit more skin removed from the right to even them out.
So my question is, small implants or just a lift?
Just a lift Pros: Don't have to have a life time of dealing with MRI's, more surgeries when they need replacing, and possible sped up sagging caused by more weight. Faster/easier recovery. All the possible risks that go along with silicone implants.
Cons: Will they still be flat? Will they sag again?
Silicone Implant Low Profile 265-315 Pros: Would give better proportion to my body as I'm not 24 anymore. Would look great in a bikini. Would be fun and sexy.
Cons: I cannot get a higher profile because I'd have to go up to the 400's. I am not interested in basketballs and hated my breasts when I was breast feeding. They were cute when I was pregnant had a belly to match and a beautiful daughter growing inside me!
I have read some posts where women with a bit more breast tissue than mine got implants with their lift and the whole thing sagged within a year! I'd rather have small breasts than big saggy ones. Plastic Surgeon said the small implants will provide lift in that they will lift the breast away from the body. Every breast is different and reacts differently and I don't know what is best for mine.
I change my mind daily. Would love some comparisons of similar sized ladies and opinions! Thank you!

thank you for posting pictures and writing everything about you process. I’m similar height and weight as well, need a mini (my appointment is scheduled for January 30. I have no breast anymore and am considering implants as well. I have had 4 babies and breast feed all of them. I need my muscle repaired (that’s the real reason why I started this process). I go back and forth everyday from wanting it done (both breast and tummy) to not wanting to make my body worse. scared that something will go wrong and I will be left in a worse situation and a scar. I’m not sure what advice I could you give on your breast (as all I have are little flats of skin left :-) hope you feel happy about your decision and everything goes well. good luck and I will be following your journey.

My stomach is why I began this process too!! My PS told me the TT scar should be very low, just into the public hair line. That made me feel much better. The breasts are another story and I want to make sure they will look how I want after surgery, but there are so many variables. I am not excited about implants and the extra recovery and care that they need.
December 23, 2017
I agree 100% on the breast as well. if I do them now with TT it will cost me less then if I go in later and have them done. I’m like a small deflated 34B, I was also thinking about how some fat lipo and transferred to breast but I have researched that either. I’m going in on Jan. 8 to talk with PS again. Are you planning on talking with PS again before surgery? thank you again for posting as I am not telling anyone (except husband and 3 sisters), it’s not to ask questions and hear others stories.

December 28, 2017
Yes, post op is next week! Trying to keep quiet, but I have so many questions.
December 22, 2017
Hey! So you have so many good points in your post. I chose to go with small implants (300 cc) and I tried not to worry about the future of them lol! I figured get them now, worry about switching/replacing later. I love them and how they look currently and I’m focusing on that. I think when some people get a lift, their breasts seem to look flat and square shaped. I preferred the more round and full look. I figured that I’m young and when I’m older and decide to take them out maybe I won’t mind flat boobs. Those were just my thoughts and no one can decide what’s best for you, only you can :) Good luck and let us know what you decide

December 23, 2017
You look fantastic! I am so afraid that my results won't be what I expect. 300cc is perfect for you. I agree with you, aesthetically I prefer the full round look. I do want to be happy after going through all this.
December 23, 2017
Thank you so much! If you do get them and don’t like them, they could always be removed. I know it’s not that easy, but if you don’t get them you could always be wondering. Totally up to you though. I’m terrible at decision making lol, so if you are too I feel your pain ;)

December 23, 2017
Yes! I feel like I need to go through all the options just to feel I'm making the right choice even if I come full circle!
December 23, 2017
Regarding options: a number of people also do their BL/BA in two steps getting a breast lift first and following up with implants six months to a year later if they’re not pleased with the just the lift alone. This also gives the breast lift incisions a chance to heal without the extra weight/stress from implants. Doing it the other way around is not always the best solution, imo. The implants will stretch the breast tissue; and if removed afterwards there’s a good chance you will have some ptosis again needing another lift. It’s always easier to go up in size than down in size, imo. I know this all too well since I downsized my implants. LOL. My two cents. :-)
December 23, 2017
Good points Mdlg5. I’ve only went one way, where you’ve gone both. Good advice. That’s why I just love this site so much ❤️

December 23, 2017
I have been thinking the exact same thing! I would be more comfortable with that. I think I'm confused after posting a question for the Dr's regarding an implant. They all reccomend placing a small implant, however I am happy with my size in a bra. What confused me was they all suggested I only get a Lollipop Lift rather than a Full Anchor Lift. Any thoughts?
December 23, 2017
I think with the lollipop lift you’ll keep more tissue that way. I believe you lose more with the anchor lift and that could make you feel small. I’m not exactly positive on that though. Discuss it with your Dr and I’m sure you two can come up with the perfect decision :)
December 23, 2017
Anchor vs lollipop: it’s my understanding that one versus the other has to do with how much tissue needs to be removed in addition to the shape one offers versus the other. Some PS simply prescribe one versus the other because that’s what they’re used to doing. My own PS believes a full anchor renders a rounder nicer compared to the vertical incision. For this reason I agreed to a full anchor lift and I have not been disappointed, not to mention you don’t really see the anchor incision since it’s in the crease. Some PS offer the lollipop lift because they feel they are giving their patient the option for less scarring; imo what they’re sometimes offering is a compromised shape for less scarring. With the lollipop lift (vertical lift) I’ve frequently seen strange buckling (of the scar) underneath the breast where the incision ends or an incisions going down below the crease area in an odd manner. It’s also my understanding there’s a higher rate of the implant dropping out below the crease with the lollipop lift versus a full anchor lift. Bottom line with all the decisions one has to make with BL/BA surgery I think choosing the right PS is the most important decision you can make - more so than choosing the type of implant or lift. This is the one surgery where I would not just pick a jack-of-all-trades PS. Breast lift surgery is one of the most complicated surgeries (with a very high revision rate) not to mention each breast surgery onto itself. You want to make sure that your PS is board certified, has done thousands breast lifts and has many before/after photo samples to show in addition to numerous real reviews online. :-)

December 27, 2017
To be honest, i wish my ps would’ve done the implanta without the lift first. My breast looked similar to yours.
I could’ve alway went back and do the lift. Not complaining about my results. They turned out great...not crazy about my areola. I really liked my natural areola before.
Just always wondered.. sorry lol not trying to confuse you. You made the remark about if both breast looked like the one good one and that’s exactly thoughts before.
Anyways, I’m sure you’ll have fantastic results! And the tt will change everything!!

December 27, 2017
Sorry about my grammar errors. I’m really bad at not proof reading and pushing post !
January 21, 2018
good luck with your upcoming surgery! it sounds like you’re thinking everything through carefully and rationally! I am 23 days PO now, I had a peri-areolar lift and low-plus profile 280cc. I had less breast tissue that you when I started but I’m so happy I got the implants, for a while there I was afraid to do so, but for me it filled out my shape and corrected other issues I had. I agonized over these questions for years but in the end I looked in the mirror and wasn’t happy and my doc asked me why put your body through 2 rounds of anesthesia and recovery. he made a good point so I bit the bullet and did it all in one go and I’m so glad I did. we are all different and so many reasons to adjust how we approach this, but excited to follow your journey!
