After deciding to have a mommy makeover and going...
After deciding to have a mommy makeover and going to a few consults, my final choice of doctors was Doctor Vasisht at South Shore Plastic Surgery. Even from the consult they took the time to fully explain details of the surgery and answered all my questions. They made me feel so comfortable during the whole process. What I decided to have done was the full mommy make over, tummy tuck, liposuction, and a breast lift with implants.
On July 11th was my surgery, over all the experience was excellent but there were some complications with my recovery. My oxygen level dropped after surgery causing lack of blood flow to the tummy tuck incision, on top of being a smoker, this caused my wound to open up about 2 1/2 inches.
Dr. V and his team where there for me every step of the way, explaining exactly what the issue was and how they planned to treat the incision. I was going to see Dr. V every two days to check in on the wound, finally we all decided that the best way to speed up the process was to go back to the hospital to have wound care treatment with a would vac, Dr V. came to check in everyday (even during the weekend). I was able to come home after a few days with the vac and after 2 ½ weeks with the vac the wound looked 100% better, it was amazing to see how much it healed in such a short time.
After what I like to call a small hiccup, I am so pleased with the surgeries, the scarring looks great and continue to improve as the weeks go by. My breasts look FANTASTIC, and even where the opening where I had my tummy tuck looks great. My stomach looks toned and the skin looks amazing…my new belly button is the cutest!!
Dr. V, Megan, and Beryl were so attentive and caring during this whole journey. They took the time to not only explain things to me but also my family. They helped me every step of the way, though it took a bit longer to heal, they really made it much easier.
