Volbella for Lips

I received 1ml of Volbella for my lips to lighten the wrinkles. I was not looking for my lips to be bigger. I only wanted the lines softened. I received numbing and ice before the injections. The needles were very small so I wasn't too worried. The actual injections, with the numbing and ice, were very painful. I have no problem with needles but the lip area was very sensitive for me. One particular injection was very painful. That's where the major bruising is (see photos). I reached out to my injector and she had me come back in the following day (today) for some IPL to help break up the bruising. I'm going back in tomorrow for another IPL. Right after the injection I looked mostly ok. The bruising was limited to inside my lips. I did not take a photo because there was nothing to see. The bruising in the first photo developed within a couple hours of the treatment. I've done Botox, lasers, micropenning etc. over the past 9 years so I'm not a novice. I had not done lip filler though and the result is pretty extreme for me. The after care of this is high maintenance and socially limiting. After this bad experience, I won't touch my lips again and will probably try something like micro-current instead. I'll continue to post photos each day for people to see how the bruises resolve.
