1st Vivace Treatment

I met with Dr. Liszka recently to discuss a face lift. While there I met with his Medical Aesthetician, Katrina. She explained how Vivace would help with some of the fine lines and potentially some of the sagging I have been noticing in my jowls and neck. Just so happens that Vivace was the special for May 2021. Still not cheap, but definitely a savings. I decided to give it a try. I had my first treatment on Wednesday, so too soon to report on how well it worked.

I got to the office about 30 minutes prior for the numbing cream. I definitely felt numb, but even so, I did feel a good bit of discomfort. It felt like someone was repeatedly snapping me with a rubber band/pinching sensation. Katrina explained that the higher level would produce better results. I sucked it up and dealt with it. It didn't last that long.

The next day I had some discomfort. My neck felt like I had worn a really scratchy, irritating turtle neck. Not awful, just uncomfortable. By the 2nd day, the discomfort was almost gone. I could wash my face and apply the serum they provided, just no other lotion or makeup.

I am scheduled to go back for my second treatment in June. Katrina explained that it would be at least 30 days after my third treatment before I would start seeing full results. I will do my best to be patient! Still very interested in a face lift. I met with Dr. Liszka, another local surgeon, and I'm anxiously awaiting a consult with Dr. David Harley in Asheville, NC. He's booked until December, but I'm on a cancellation list, so fingers crossed he gets an opening.

I have my 2nd treatment scheduled on 6/14/21. I'll post pics after my appt. I forgot to ask my esthetician for my before pic. Few things I noticed after my 1st treatment. My skin was kind of dry and flaky for about a week. No worse than when I used to use Retin A. I did get a few "track marks" in one small area. This can happen when the intensity is set too high. It's been a couple of weeks and they are almost gone and not noticeable once I have makeup on. I haven't noticed any big changes yet, but I do think my skin looks better and some of the scarring I have around my mouth is less noticeable.
