Buccal Fat Pad Removal - Prague, CZ

ORIGINAL POST

Dear RealSelfs, I've had my buccal fat pad removed...

WORTH IT$800
Dear RealSelfs, I've had my buccal fat pad removed today morning. It took less than 1 hour, and it might be done even quicker, if I wasn't a special case (as usual).

My surgeon started with my left side and couldn't find the fat pad anywhere in my middle cheek area, so he went little higher, and it was (thank Buddha) there. I started freaking out, thinking - what if it isn't there :-D? The right side was done in less than 10 minutes, since he knew where to search it for.

I left the clinic after the procedure on about one hour with no pain or dizziness. I'm 8 hours post OP and I can see the swelling of the left cheek is more prominent than the right cheek, I guess it's because of troubles while locating it. The pain is bearable for now, can't eat anything besides liquid meals.

How are you feeling? Has the swelling gone down?

I hope you keep posting updates - really want to see your new sculpted cheeks!

How long will you be on a liquid diet?

Hello I've been feeling little better lately, the swelling is coming down more and more every day.
After 6 days I can eat any soft food, it just takes me little longer to chew it and try not to get it close to scares.
I really hope this procedure helps me, too. I feel little insecure with all this swelling and there is still no 100% guarantee that my face will be slimmer. But I have to keep my hopes up :-).

Before, when you said you could only drink liquid foods did you do that by drinking out of a straw and did it cause discomfort for your cheeks

Hello! I was using a straw, it was much more comfortable and painless than eating/drinking the normal way.

Hey Following your journey, I really want to see the outcome...really want this procedure done but want to know more info on it...do you need time off work? And how long can't you not sleep on your face?
January 25, 2016
Hello dear, it's been 6 days post op now, and I feel little better. My right cheek is still swollen, not as bad as before though, and the right cheek looks almost the same as it did before the surgery.
I am a student and I'm on a holiday now, so I didn't have to take and special time off. But I must say, I felt quite comfortable on 4 day after my surgery. I think I wouldn't be able to concentrate on studying right after the surgery.

I still can't really lay on the swollen side, the right cheek is okay to sleep on after 6 days.

Ok thank you so much for your response :) looking forward to doing that surgery as soon as I possibly can!
