I am the mother of two children. I breast fed both for about a year, which left my breast deflated. To make matter worse, I had toxemia, what is now known as preeclampsia, during my first pregnancy. It caused me to gain a lot of water weight. I went from 95lbs to 215lbs! Luckily for me I was back down to 100lbs within 9 months, with no exercise at all! My second pregnancy went better, I still had complications that lead to me gaining a lot of weight. This time I went from 105 lbs to 186. The second time around it took exercise to loose the weight, but I did, within a year I was at 110, where I have maintained for 8 years. While I am physically fit, I exercise and eat healthy, the damage is done. I have stretch marks, I know some ladies were them like a badge of honor, and good for them, but I am not one of them, I hate my stretch marks. They are a consistent reminder of the past. Let me explain I was raped at a young age, which resulted in my first pregnancy. Don't get me wrong I love my child, but her existence was in many ways not ideal. She is amazing and I have never looked at her as a reminder of that time, but my stretch marks seem to be a constant reminder, a branding punishment for a time I was vulnerable and weak. I have come to grasp with the fact that they will never all be gone, but I really want the to be. Besides the deflated breast which I believe can be corrected with a breast augmentation, I will also need what I am hoping is only a mini tummy tuck, but may be require a full one. This would get rid of a pouch that is below my belly button.
I will soon find out what procedures are recommended. I have appointments with 4 board certified surgeons in my area. I have prepared a 11 question questionnaire for them. The questions are as follows:

12. How many follow up visits are required?

1. What procedures do you recommend?

2. Where would the incisions be placed on my body?

3. In your professional opinion what stretch marks would remain, and where would the be visible?

4.What is your revision policy? What if I am not 100% satisfied with the procedure results?

5. What size implant do you recommend?

6. Just to double check all silicone implants are now a gel, correct?

7. What is the estimated healing time? How long until I can see the difference, without swelling?

8. Where will the drains be placed?

9. What kind of medication will this require?

10. If I go with local anesthetics over being put under will it cost less?

11. What is the overall cost of the procedure?

Ill keep updating this journey as I go.

One week Post Op

Daydreamer86
Today marks on week since my breast augmentation!
Let me catch you up, I went to many consultations, over 15, most were very nice doctors with great staff. I choose Cosmetic Surgery Associates in Bethesda MD, specifically Doctor Magge. The price was within my budget, the doctor was skilled, and the staff was welcoming.
Its been one week, and while the welling is still considerable, I am over joyed with the work, not only do I look "good", I feel better. I feel more complete. I know that may sound crazy to some of you, but its the truth, breast feeding took its toll on my breast, for 14 years they were deflated and no longer resembled what an ideal breast would, but Dr. Magge changed that for me, and I am for forever grateful.
I will upload pics later.
