Let me began by saying honesty is the key, and if anyone is here to judge please don't read my story. I have battled with my weight sense childhood. November 2007 I chose to have a gastric bypass because the weight wasn't coming off fast to me from working out. So, a couple of my friends were getting lap bands and gastric bypasses and not even attempting to work out. At that time I felt some kind away about them losing the weight faster than me. I felt at the time to solve that problem I would join the band wagon, and my gastric bypass was done November 2007, and at that time my weight was 233 Ibs before the surgery. Since November 2007 I have had so many complications with the surgery. I had two bowel obstructions, and protein deficiency issues. With prayer, balance diet, exercise, and taking the proper medications, I am healed and ready for my tummy tuck. People ask me why do I want a tummy tuck when I have been through so much already? I know I want this because first and foremost when I take off my clothes I am unhappy with the excessive amount of skin, and the rashes that I get from it. I can't fit into women jeans because it seems they make them all low ride. I feel as much working out I do, my stomach doesn't match my work out. I have great faith that its okay for me to have this tummy tuck. I'm so excited but nervous at the same time.

Do you think I should rent a hospital bed for 2 weeks or sleep in a recliner?
March 23, 2013
I am renting a recliner.. My kids still sleep with me and am afraid an arm or leg will accidentally head my way! I was told that it was more comfortable the first week and for $89, why not? Lol

I finally told my Mom last night that was having a TT! I didn't want to tell her because she is so against. Her statement to me was...You know I'm going to be there for you, even though I don't agree!" That's is what you call unconditional love. I had to let het know because I really don't trust my fiancé with taking care of me! He had the nerve to sake me can he go the work the next day? I told him heck no....So that set the alert...need to tell my mom because she is a true nurse and healthy cook:-)

We all have the same reason for wanting this procedure. We want to look better. It's good to look in the mirror and like what you see. It will help you push forward to maintain what you have achieved. Best of luck to you!

@225 are you concerned about your surgery being on a Friday, like I am? My surgeon only operates on Thursdays and Fridays....what about yours
March 26, 2013
Mine is on Friday too 4/26 and am conflicted because I don't know if it is a good thing or not.. It might be crazy to check out of hospital on Saturday?

Why are you nervous about it being a Friday? I thought it was good bc it gives me a wknd the next day... My husband will be hm (in theory) ha!

I'm not nervous anymore about my surgery being on a Friday:-) only because my ps only operates on Thursday and Friday. I heard a lot of people say they would rather do their surgery on a Monday because doctors seem to be more fresh rather than on a Friday! I have closed my ears to that negativity.....everything is going to be just fine:-)
