Hello Ladies, I'm a little late at getting this out but better late than never. :) I'm having a Mommy Makeover. I'm getting tummy tuck with lipo and a breast aug with big implants. I can't begin to tell you all how wonderful it has been reading your stories and I really felt I should share mine as well. I have been on this site for a little over 2 years. Stalking, reading, researching, in general just snoop doggie doggin. LOL I have learned so much that I would say I was OVER prepared for my surgeon. LOL I was very prepared with questions and basically knew a lot of the answers but wanted to hear the answers from my surgeon as confirmation. In fact, I had so many questions that I didn't have enough time to review them all with my surgeon. And what I learned from this exercise along the way was that I should have grouped my questions appropriately (IE consult, pre-op, then post op) and I should have asked my questions at those times/visits instead of overwhelming myself, my boyfriend, and my surgeon by wanting to know it all and know it all at once! :) So with that said, I have a lot of the answers and I will get the rest after my surgery (TOMORROW AM) YIKES!!!! LOL I'm so NERVOUS, EXCITED, SCARED..LOL It may take me a few days to post as I go through this recovery so please hang in there with me. :) With that... here is some background on me. I am 48 yrs old. Divorced. Starting a new chapter in my life and enjoying every day of my new life with my Boyfriend. My Surgery, my new life, and soon my new job is going to give me an entirely new feeling day in and day out and I'm so EXCITED for the change!!! Before I forget, I also want to give a shout out to the men. My BF has been SO SUPER SUPPORTIVE through this entire thing!!! He has not been pushy with his ideas and has said this is for only me and I should be the only one to decide what I want and he will support whatever that is. I Love that!!! So flashing back again, I have had 3 kids and I started very early. I had twins at 19 and my daughter at 26. Needless to say I lost my fab body at 19. I have wanted to fix my belly ever since the twins and I have ALWAYS wanted bigger breasts. I was very small starting out and everything grew as my kids did! :( For most of my life I have maintained my weight but I have put on the most weight I have ever had in my life after I quit smoking last Jan and had my hysto last June. My metabolism just shut down completely for like 6 months. UGH I noticed it was coming back when I started back to the gym so I'm determined to have this surgery help jump start me back to looking and feeling good about myself once again. I will be happy if I can get back to my normal/average weight of 140/145lbs after I can get back to the gym. I'm currently at 160 and I feel every pound. Moving on, here is also some background on the process. I had 2 wonderful consults. I had a hard time deciding which doctor so I went with the doctor that was closer. I had my pre-op Feb 19 and my fitting for my CG. Those appointments went great. The doctors office was wonderful. They let me come by a day before my pre-op to play with the sizers before my pre-op appt since I was very nervous about not knowing my breast size. The nurses, the coordinator, and the doctor have taken so much time with me. They have been very understanding and supportive which I have greatly appreciated. I think I am finally ready to do this!! I will keep you ladies posted on my recovery. I will try to post tomorrow on how I feel on Day 1. Later in my recovery, I may even go back and give you some more information on my consult and my pre-op and my CG fitting since I breezed by it earlier and there is just so much more to share with you Ladies. :) I'm posting pics of my before, my CGs, and some prep stuff. I will go back and fill in the blanks later. So wish me luck. I have no idea if I have lost my mind doing this or I'm just so scared I can't think straight. LOL Either way. I paid and its happening. LOL Talk to you Ladies soon! TaTa('s) for now! (haha get it.) :)~

I made it through the surgery - day 1 & 2

Hello Ladies,
Sorry its been cpl days. MY day of surgery was a tough one. Good news is I didn't throw up. I did almost pass out going pee the first day but a cold washcloth helped. I think it was the combination of standing and just starting to move. I think I had like 2 unsalted crackers on day 1 and I'm drinking tons of water. I have been getting up every 2-4 hours and walking around. Thank goodness for my BF. My main advice. Ensure you have someone who can help you around the clock. I can barely move so the recliner and the walker have also been a huge help. This is a painful procedure but I think its the lipo that hurts in my back the most. You have to move slow so you need a very patient nurse. :) Day 2 I ate oatmeal and had coffee, plus a cookie, and cereal. Not the best diet but I don't want a lot. Day 2 I'm finding it a tad easier to go to the bathroom. Also TMI, its extremely hard to wipe. Sorry for saying that but very few women talk about wiping. Still no #2 but i went just before surgery. So as far as gear goes they sent me home in a binder, bra, and band around the top of my boobs.. I leaked some blood on my pants getting home so make sure to wear crappy pants. I think I get in my other garment tmw or friday. I ended up with 2 drains. One in back and one in front. The back one is filling fast so a lot of dumping. I hope it slows down soon. The binder feels good till day 2 and a 1/2. I'm getting very itchy everywhere. MY BF rubbed my legs with lotion and then put my compression thigh highs back up.. That felt great. I also want to mention that with some pain meds like mine (deluded) I have to switch on an off with the muscle relaxer. I have an antibiotic, ibuprofen, blood thinner shots, stickers for my neck for Nashua and a pill form too which I haven't really needed. MY butt is super sore from sitting and my back is stinging. My armpits are bruised pretty good from the lipo also. But all in all, I don't regret this. I looked in the mirror today at my binder and bra and I looked skinny with big boobs!!!! YAY!!!! Can't wait to see the underneath. Although I'm afraid to see the bruising. LOL So I think that is pretty much everything so far. I will keep posting. I will upload some pics tmw since i'm going to attempt a sponge bath. I hope everyone else is healing well. TaTa('s) for now! :)

Congratulations on your surgery! And FYI wiping is still difficult at 4 weeks post op! I bought a Peri water bottle to use as a bidet for extra help cleaning up back there ;)

That is a bummer to hear. I will have to try your suggestion bc there is little left on the midesty part now..lol I had to share that ciz no one seems to mention it much.

My bf will be taking care of me. We have been together 8 years but he has NEVER been in the bathroom with me for bathroom "stuff" so I am horrified to find out that the wiping issue is there! Thank you for the heads up on that! OMG...LOL! I have to mentally prepare myself for this. I was married for 24 years and he was never in the bathroom with me for that either...guess I am going to have to get over my modesty in that area.
