Hey RS friends...
So after much research and hours of looking at bodies I have decided to get liposuction. I have 2 children and the second was a c-section. Since having my baby I haven't been able to lose my lower pouch. I have always been one to lose weight by running and weight training. But unfortunately nothing has worked. I have always been shapely with a small waist. But now I am still unable to wear my pre baby clothes.
Sooo hear I am scheduled for Dec 1st to have lipo 360 with Dr. Mancoll. I had 3 consults and finally decided he was my guy. I was tempted to get a breast augmentation as well but decided against it as I wasn't completely sure. But I was definitely sold on the lipo.
My question for the community is how bad is the recovery. I am a Nurse and I plan to take 2 weeks off but the clinical coordinator act as if that may not be enough. I have a high pain tolerance but she made it seem liposuction is brutal. I've found mixed reviews that half of patients are moving well and mild pain after a few days and others are in agony for weeks.
Please help. I'm thinking about moving my surgery up but I'm getting nervous. Will be posting pics soon!

The lipo is the worst part. I have very high tolerance for pain and I suggest 3-4 wks. My surgery buddy had lipo and went back after 2 wks and wishes she had taken a month off. She says it’s very hard because she is still very sore and still gets winded.

Oh wow. I'm hoping I'll be ok after 2.5 weeks. I only work 2-3 days a week. So I'm praying I'll make it. Thanks!

I had full TT & lipo of flanks & back. In my opinion, the lipo caused the most discomfort. That being said, I returned to full time desk work after 2 weeks recovery. I think being a nurse has u WAY more active & on ur feet. But I felt like I needed to have a reason to get up & move around.... which really does help the healing process. I think 2.5 weeks should b ok. Everyone really heals differently.
U have a great canvas to work with. I think u r gonna get done great results! Looking forward to following ur journey. I really liked dr Mancoll a lot too. I knew instantly he was the ps for me

Thank You! I'm praying it turns out how I want and he really contours my waist line. I thought about doing my thighs but everyone I talked to said the recovery for thighs was even more brutal. So ill be in the gym for sure. Thanks for all your help!

Hi there. I had a full tummy tuck and lipo to my abdomen and flanks. The lipo was definately the hardest to recover from. I'm at 12 weeks post op and I still have to masssage my flanks because they get lumpy and hard. I returned to work at 4 weeks and found that to be ok but because I'm on my feet all day (like u would be with your job) I found the swelling to be horrible and painful at the end of the day. I would just say to be prepared for a bit of long term pain and discomfort. I have 3 kids and the last one I had to have a c-section for. The c-section was easier and way less painful to recover from. I feel like I'm making it sound horrible. But it's not a fun recovery. Maybe just having lipo will be a heck of a lot easier and less painful. Best of luck. Even though I'm still in pain I'm living the results and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Hi! Oh wow....im so nervous because I just don't know what to expect. I really hope just the lipo won't be as bad and I'll be ok. I'm going to keep working out and drinking my pineapple juice and hope for the best. I only work 2 days a week so I should be able to rest some. Thanks so much!

You look awesome already, honey. Your results will be insane. I hear that if the doctor doors local anesthesia, recovery is much easier but if you're doing general anesthesia, recovery tends you be longer and harder.

Thanks so much! Really i never heard that before. Well I'm definitely doing general. I don't even think my doctor would do mine under local. So we'll see. This time next week it'll be all over!

did you have a tummy tuck too? these results are great!
I think you made a very wise choice with Dr. Mancoll. I found out about him after my surgery, I went to Newport News but wish I had known about Dr. Mancoll beforehand. As for myself it was not that brutal to me, I too have a high tolerance to pain. So, on that note I say go for it, move your surgery up and enjoy your results. Best wishes to you.
