Just Got Wedge Method Labiaplasty

I'm not going to write a story but I will say that having this done has made me more comfortable.
Start: Appointment at 2:00, nurse brings me into procedure room and apply numbing cream on my vagina. 20 mins later she and surgeon comes in to give me a local anesthesia in my vagina area to numb it where I won't feel any pain. The surgeon marked the area she was going to cut off. I got the wedge method and removal of the fold around my clitoris. The procedure took about an hour (no pain, just pressure and tugging). They gave me an ice pack and my son drive me home. They also gave me an extra dose of local anesthesia that would last up to 5 hours before I'll start feeling pain.
Got home at 4 took Tylenol 1,000 mg. They prescribed me painkiller and antibiotics, I'm taking the antibiotics but haven't needed the painkiller yet. By 8'clock I started feeling pain, about a 5 in scale. It's midnight and the pain is like a 6-7... it hurts but it's not unbearable. I've been icing the area since I got home with a home made ice pack. Pour dish soap into a ziplock bag and freeze it the night before. Make sure to have 2 packs. So you can alternate. They ice really helps alot!! I took another Tylenol at midnight 1,000 mg. The pain is at a 5, it's annoying pinching pain. Ugh!
I did not take a before picture (sorry) but here is a pic from today's surgery. I look a little beat up! Hoping for better results in the following days/weeks. Will keep updates.

So glad to see your pictures. I got mine done a couple days ago and I was concerned with how beat up it looks! Seems like that's just the normal progression. Good luck with the healing process :)

Yes! It's a process and patience is the key! I feel I'm healing pretty good. You should put up pics, this way you can see the progress. ;)

Ok, so one side of my labia is bigger than the other. I sure this has to do with the swollen. But left side to my clitoris, I noticed a long stitch and on the right side, the stitch is underneath my outer labia. I really hope the stitch goes away in time.
I have not taken any painkiller, I jusr been on Tylenol 1,000 mg. I'm constantly icing the area with my homemade ice pack. The ice helps with the throbbing alot. I was able to make dinner today, standing for about 2 hours. .. rest in between.
I'm trying not to stress the area where my clitoris looks kinda crooked... I'm going to give it some more time. I really can't judge it in the swollen stage.

And did the sutures heal together? I've seen a lot that dont and I really want my wedge method but I am scared of that

Well, I chosen the wedge because I saw and heard too many complications on the trim. I like the natural look. The trim consist of sutures running down the labia instead of going across. Less scarring and quicker healing.

All that I requested to get done was 2,650. If I need a revision, it'll cost 150.00. No surgeon fee, just an office fee. How much was yours?

3,600. I paid cash so I got a 5% discount. I don't know what a revision will cost but I'm starting to think I paid to much because absolutely nothing but the LABIA was discussed. Every other area like the peri area and clitoral hood apparently have more fees.

Really? I paid cash too. Wow! You should mention that. If all you got done cost that much, he should be happy to give you a revision. I saw that some people got it done for less than I have. I guess it depends on the area and/or surgeon. Sorry to hear that...

Thank you ladies for the information that you have shared. I have wanted to get this surgery done but had been afraid of the difficulties of recovery in that area because I am so active. And also I didn't know where I could find a doctor that could do it would be near me that would be reasonable in cost. I've had considered going as far as Thailand to even get work done but family members are not the most supportive people here in those matters.
