My stitches on my left is very ugly. It looks abnormal now, the right side of my labia is pretty. I wish the left look as neat as the right. I'm still very sensitive where the stitches are and don't know why it still hurt when I touch it. I really hope the stitches vanish. I'm feeling hopeless. .. I'm looking forward for my final results... by December.

Your last post says you got your stitches removed, did they leave some behind? Either way, your result looks amazing already. I hope that small area resolves itself soon.

Yes, I got them removed. I am still waiting for that area to change... it hasn't.

I'm sorry for the confusion, I meant to say that the "scars" are sensitive ... stitches are all gone!

It looks so good! I hope mine turns out that nice I am still incredibly swollen for 15 days post op. :)

Looks so neat and tidy! I bet you're so happy. Have you had sex yet? If so, do you find it different than before surgery?

I have not had sex yet. My scars are still very tender. The stitches inside have not dissolved, I can still feel them. All my sensations are there, but I don't think I am ready yet.

Stitches All Gone!
IhavehopeJuly 23, 2015
I got my stitches removed yesterday. It feels A LOT better!! I'm still sensitive in the suture areas but overall I'm healing good. Most of the swelling went down. There's changes everyday, and the changes are good. I'm anxious to see the final results when the scars starts to soften up and disappear. :) I will post a picture up when my 3 months OP.

My surgeon is away till after next week so will see him when I'm 6 weeks post! I went in and saw the nurse practitioner she checked me and all looking good and my little split is healing up slowly x

Changes
IhavehopeJuly 15, 2015
I'm seeing the changes and everything is healing together. No more bruises! Still have stitches, but there are soften up. I can sit and walk normal now. ;) I see my surgeon next week. I hope to remove the stitches near my clitoris. I dont think I need them in, she did a very good job stitching them and no sutures were coming undone. Just hoping for all the scars to heal and vanish. But overall, I am happier than I was before.

Hey! looks like you are healing nicely.
What would you say the pain level is after surgery? And did you experience something such as loss of nerve/sensations? I want to do this surgery but I'm really afraid of that. Thanks!

On a scale of 1-10, I am about a 3. I haven't taken any pain pills since the day after surgery. I've been I applying ice and have taken Aleve. Sensation is definitely there! Lol! It's going to be a long six weeks. My only recommendation is if you decide to have this procedure tidy up your entire vagina at once. I'm super pissed I didn't have my clitoral hood and peri area done. I needed much more than just labia and now I'm going to have to have another surgery. So make sure you discuss every part of your vagina so you don't have to go back for more work.

The pain after surgery is about a 6. I guess it also depend on your pain tolerance. But the inflammation (heat), throbbing, sharp shooting pain are all in combination. As long as you can take a full week of off work, you'll be able to recover. Icing the area is very important! That helps alot with the swelling. ;)

I have all my sensation, I made sure I stress that to my surgeon. She was very careful to what part to touch and what not. That's is why I would not do the trim technique, that's alot of cutting straight down the labia. I'm concern with the look too, but more for the comfort.

I did not take any pain killer either. I took Tylenol. My surgeon told me to avoid all other medications, especially Aleve. Some medicines will only make the inflammation/ swelling worst. I took Motrin the second week.

Tylenol is before surgery because it's the only one that does not increase risk of bleeding (like Asprin). All other OTC pain and swelling relief meds are for after surgery because the risk of increased bleeding is no longer an issue. So take your pick. They all help.

I have been wondering..when could you go back to work im taking a week off will that be enough time? my job is a sitting job and I don't have to get up .

I am 11 days post op, and have found that sitting on a rubber inflatable donut pillow made driving and sitting bearable. However, I don't know if you'd want to bring attention to yourself at work? Lol. It took all of 9 days before I could sit properly without cringing. Today was the first day I drove without the pillow under me.
August 12, 2015
Wow! I did not drive until the second week. I was so careful. .. especially with all the horror stories about stitches coming undone/apart. I really was myself again the 4th week.

Now I have that song stuck in my head Ihavehope! :)
