Just had my breast augmentation! Very excited but...
$6,300
Just had my breast augmentation! Very excited but very overwhelmed by the site of my new boobs, but I'm sure it is just so something I need to get used to.
My surgeon and his staff were amazing. They did their best to make me feel comfortable and explained everything that was going to happen and what to expect. After giving me the opportunity to ask any questions I had, they walk me into the surgical suite. The last thing I remember is my RN placing compression devices on my legs and I was out.
I woke up and couldn't believe it was 1.5 hours later. The grogginess was probably the toughest thing for me to deal with. I just wanted to keep napping. I actually didn't start feeling the pain greater than a 4 until I got home. Mostly, a tightness under my arms and pain in my back and sternum. The pressure on my chest is tolerable. After I ate some, I was able to take some Valium and Peroccet to manage my 9 out of 10 pain. The meds brought me down to a 3.
Currently, amazed at how much I really use my chest muscles in daily living. Of course pulling up a pants, readjusting myself in bed, tying back my hair, opening the fridge and even flushing the toilet causes some pain!! Hopefully, all this doesn't last too long. Walking around causes no pain, so I'm taking advantage of that so I don't get backed up from the opioids.
I'm so excited and happy the surgery went well. Just can't wait to take my first look tomorrow morning!

I must admit, scheduling this surgery while fiance is out of town may not have been the smartest idea.
I woke up several times throughout the night, but not really due to pain. Maybe just because I needed to use the bathroom because of all the water I've been drinking. Either way. I had some pretty solid sleep from 12a to 5a thanks to the Valium.
Unfortunately, getting up was not so easy. As you may have heard from other reviews, there is a lot of pain when pushing down on the bed with your hands to readjust yourself and sit yourself up. As a result a lot of folks recommend strengthening of the above muscle prior to this procedure. While this may help some, this has not helped me since most of my pain is actually in my ribs.
I have been taking my Perococet scheduled, but it really wasn't taking any edge off. I spoke to Dr. Mancoll just to see if I could add ibuprofen to my pain regimen. While it has helped a little... sitting up and getting out of bed remains excruciating.
Funny enough my breast just feel tight and just a little tender. I also have significant bruising down my sternum.
I have been icing on and off all day, both the top of my breast where my suppose band is and my ribs.
Other than issues repositioning in bed, I am fine when I'm already on my feet. I use my running leash, which wraps around my waist to take the dog out for a walk so she doesn't cause me to use my arms to pull her back, and I have stepping stools everywhere to I'm not reaching I over my head for anything.
Had a bit of the boobie blues last night, thinking that maybe I've gone too big, but I actually love the way they look today. Can't wait until the swelling goes down!

What size did you get?

Am sure they will feel perfect once you get used to them, I've just come back from second consult and have been sized for 400 or 450 mod plus! Had thought I'd go 375-400 so feels a lot bigger! I'm 5.6 and barely fill a 34a! It's such a small difference of 50ml but I'm still torn. Do you feel the mod+ has given a more natural shape whilst giving good projection? I am more towards mod + I think.... X

The mod shape is definitely good for a more natural look. I didn't want the round upper pole that high profile implants provide. Ultimately, your surgeon will make the decision for you based on the photos you bring.. your surgeon will select the size implant that best matches the look you want. If anything, really just take some time to ask your surgeon about it.

Thanks for your reply. How are you feeling now-do you feel you are in proportion now? X

I think so. A lot of swelling has gone down. Still getting used to dressing myself and carrying myself w larger breasts. I think it will get better as time goes on.
