So, I used to have awesome boobs. About a 32D. After nursing two children (which I would never take back!!????) and my rigorous workout schedule...I lost all the volume in the top of my boobs. I still had boob...just at the bottom. I wAs wearing a heavily padded 34C...and not really fully filling it out. My biggest fear was ending up with huge boobs...so I decided to go with the "look" of 225CC. Saline, since you can achieve more symmetry because the increments aren't limited to 25 CCs at a time. Since to achieve the look of 225, we had to go bigger, and due to my right boob being bigger and lower:( we went with I believe 270 on the right and 280 on the left. I am exactly one week post op....and still kind freaking out. Of course they look square and weird since my old boob is still as low as it was, and the implant is still HIGH, so they look square and weird....and HUGE. I know they will round out...but mostly I am terrified that they are tooooooo big. Everyone keeps telling me they will go down...and appear smaller...but I am still worried. Trying to take it one day at a time. And remain positive. Anyone have a situation similar to mine?? Encouragement would be so appreciated.

Why did you decide to get it done? Just curious:) I think it's so perfectly normal to be so nervous. I am 8 days out and to be honest, I am still a basket case. I had a total meltdown today actually. I am so hyper critical of myself as is. And now I feel like my breasts are huge and weird. I know I need to give it time....but right now I'm an emotional mess.

PROMISE, THEY WILL GO DOWN! But could take about 3/6 mths before you even realize it happens! : )

Thanks guys.....I am so hyper critical of myself and paranoid of making mistakes. Lol. I had a full blown emotional meltdown yesterday, after trying to find some shirts for work that would make my "weird, new boob" look less noticeable. It was a horrible experience.

They are going to look so much better very soon! I have been addicted to this site since I will be having my BA on the 5th, and the pics the other ladies post show how different their breast look after each week. Stay in there! They are looking fine!

From looking at many other womens progress with their breast implants dropping, you look in great shape already. I think they'll look just how you want them to and I don't think they're too big, they aren't small by any means, but they look nice on your frame. Best of luck!

I don't have a similar situation to yours but I wanted your feedback on getting back into working out after surgery. My op is the 29th and I've never had to take more than a few days off at a time. There's not many girls who have a rigorous workout schedule on her (I'm also from VA beach as well :) going with dr.carney. any feedback you have would be really helpful. I'm mostly concerned about pull ups and burgers, wall balls ect. not really direct chest work

Hey!!! So I TOTALLY get the rigorous training schedule. I do fitness competitions, so I was also VERY concerned about missing workouts. So, my PS told me abso NO training or any working out of any kind for 3 weeks. So, on day 21, I was in the gym with my trainer. I stuck to lower body, cardio, and abs the first week. Added in biceps, triceps, and shoulders the second week. This week I did my first chest day. It felt weird....and I wasnt even lifting meat as heavy as I usually do!!! I have also been concerned about the pull-ups!! I am used to doing real ones with no assist...and now I'm not sure I could do one...YET! I know I will get back to it, but I do NOT want to push too fast and risk setting myself further back!! Definitely follow the directions from your PS, but calm your mind with this...if you are already in peak shape, your muscles will remember and you will build back up weekly and more quickly than you think. Feel free to message me with any other questions or concerns!!

I'm starting to see my breasts settle and take on a more natural shape. They are still quite high and a bit rectangular, but at least I see progress. There is also still some dimpling in my left breast from the incision. I have a doc appt today, so I will ask about it t be certain all is healing well. But at least I am not freaking out anymore. My incisions are what remains the most uncomfortable. They throb at times and prevent me from my full range of movement. Still have to sleep on my back, as no other position is comfy yet...I miss side sleeping SOOOOO much. I wish I could speed up this healing process!!! Lol

Happy to hear you are feeling more positive about them! I think you are going to have a beautiful end result :). I remember how crappy the back sleeping was too.. I just told myself that it was good for preventing wrinkles and it made me feel a little better about it lol!

Lol...that's a great way to look at it!! Less wrinkles is a good thing, seeing as I am turning 38 tomorrow!!!:( thanks for the encouragement as well!! I think when all is said and done I will love them! Just need to be patient. Which is SO not easy for me! But I am excited for bikinis the summer!!! I'm hoping I will have way more options now!!

Looking good! I'm excited for you. I was freaking out because my left boob was throbbing and pulling so much my doc allowed me to come see him before my post op. But he said I'm fine and that's its normal for one to pull more than the other. Did you have that as well? And yes, I can't sleep well at all on my back. Sucks!!

Why me....

User Avatar

So, earlier this week I noticed a pain under my left breast, along my rib cage. The pain was stabbing, and bruise like. Then last night, I felt that pain again, and when I leaned back a bit and felt the area I feat vertical strings underused skin. Naturally, I freaked out. So I went to the Doc today to be certain of what was going on, and apparently I have Mondor's cords/disease. Basically, it's veins that have become clotted and raised. Only real solution is ibuprofen. And time. I am super bummed. I don't want anything else slowing my healing process. I am still planning to start working out on Monday...but I guess I need to expect it to be mild. Truthfully, I do not see how people become addicted to plastic surgery. I couldn't handle this stress all the time.
Has anyone else dealt with these cords? Have any encouragement?

Hmmm. That's interesting. I've felt bruise like pain in the same area as well, and I esp notice it when I'm wiping (tmi but that's when I have to stretch that side out) but I don't feel the cord like projections. Are you feeling that pain when you're not stretching?

Sometimes, yes. Like if I have been sitting in one position for a while, when I stand, I will get sharpish pains, and the area will feel even more tender. I got to work out for the first time today, just lower body, and I didn't have any issues...so I am happy about that. But I am nervous about working upper body, so my trainer and I will take that really slowly, and lightly.... Are you feeling bruised on one side more that the other?

The left side more. The right side has been an angel but the left side has been more swollen and feeling more pulling.
March 22, 2015
Yes I have some too. They aren't really painful for me relative to the whole process ;). I ve found mine have responded really well to gentle massage with scar cream. I just had steri strips removed a few days ago and started ketacote. I rub that on twice a day and use a bit of pressure sliding back and forth along the whole incision several times. I do the same in shower with gel. In three days theyve softened greatly. Yesterday I even heard a weird crunch pop and the skin was much more malable. I think a part of the pain is scar tissue adhesions. Try the gentle massage to help break them down? I'm a dancer so I've been doing a lot of reaching stretches to be back to bellydancing this weekend and last nights shows went pain free. Try not to worry about them! All the stuff I read said they are just a brief nuisance ;)

Don't be too bummed. That will go away. You look great. Much better than I did at your stage. We have very similar dimensions. I too was a deflated C. I'm 6 month post op and now fill a full C, small D. You will look fabulous. No doubt!!! Don't be discouraged by mondor's cord.

Yes, I have them under my crease incisions on both sides. My left side runs down about 5 inches long. I massage them every night and sometimes i still need ibuprofen. Yes they still burn and the bra band irritated it even more. I noticed them 4 days post op. I'm 2weeks now and I hope the resolve soon. How are yours? Are they gone yet?

Mine are pretty much gone thankfully!! Now I'm just dealing with one implant not settling yet. Grrrrrrr:/
