While I had almost 6 great years of awesome looking boobs, I've recently developed C.C. It hurts and my bobs hard. I just had a baby and I think pregnancy or nursing is the cause but now I wish if never done this. I was 22 when I had my surgery. Now I'm older, wiser and more confident. I want to explant ASAP. Think long and hard because one day likely you will be in the same spot as me if you do it.

Why do you think we see so few comments like yours? Do you think you are perhaps "just unlucky"? I would imagine someplace there are statistics regarding the after effects and explantations. Thanks for providing your counterpoint. It needs to be considered.

Not sure what CC stands for but do you regret it before kids or in general? Don't want to dump $8000 on something I'll regret

Capsular contracture you can have it anytime when you do BA. I have 2 kids that is why I decided to do BA but right after surgery I have effection after a week. Then have to surgery again and the healing hurt do bad. I am 2 months now but still taking Iu 800 mg a day , my nerves hurting too bad ;( . And after infection you have a a higher risk of capsular contracture in a long way: anytime ;(. I thought I want to look better with BA and happier but NO you carry a worry on your side of this not worth. Now I completed understand what's beauty. " Beauty is meaning that you are healthy, doesn't matter how you look ". That is my experience if I can come back, I am very possitive that I don't want BA in my life. I will be happier ! My own experiences ;(

Capsular Contracture. It means the scar tissue around the implant shrunk and makes it harder. I did regret it a little before pregnancy. They hurt and were uncomfortable for a long time after surgery. Then I got used to them and loved them. However, it is something you will have to maintain and with each surgery you risk more scar tissue etc..

I think a lot if people do love them. Especially the ones who just got them. But after a while this usually happens.

Relief after I quit Breastfeeding

User Avatar

I breastfed my daughter for 7 months and my right breast was very firm the entire time. Since I have stopped it has softened up so much. I don't think it was ever Capsular Contracture in the first place. Weird, but I'm so happy. The only downside is that I can now feel the implant in one spot and I couldn't before I got pregnant. But my breasts sag a little more and I think I lost a little bit of breast tissue with the nursing. Still I am so relieved to be rid of that hard painful boob.

I'm so glad that everything worked out for you! That must've been really upsetting. Absolutely, we all have to seriously consider the possible consequences of making the decision to alter our bodies. I'm happy that you are better.

Have you had any more issues since your last post?

I just noticed your comment. Yes my right breast deflated this past month. I guess from the CC. It feels much better. I'm going to explant. I will update with pics.

Sounds like you were engorged. I hated that too. So lumpy and hard with my first baby. I breastfed a lot more on demand with my next baby and didn't have that problem. Hope everything's okay now

Deflation

User Avatar

Well over the past month my right breast deflated. It definitely had CC and I could really tell the difference after losing 20 pounds of baby weight. I'm just going to explant. My natural breast feels better but I will definitely miss he upper pole fullness the implants give me. I'd probably re-implant id I had not developed Capsular Contracture in the right side. But I don't ever want a firm hard boob again.

It turns out it was likely a folded implant from a car wreck I was in. Awesome, I think..
