He is my PS too and my surgery is in 3 weeks. Do you have any post op pictures?
I've been waiting for swelling to get better before posting my post op pics but I will do that in the morning.
Thanks for posting them! You look awesome! :)
Looking good slow and steady wins the race
Haha, thank you!
You look amazing... ;-)
Thanks so much :)
You will too, I'm sure of it!
Sure hope so.... :S Lol. Did he do any lipo on you, by the way? He's not doing any on me most likely an d I'm nervous about it.
No lipo, but actually he said he was going to do some on my left side near my ribs but when I woke up post-op he said he'd decided against it. He said he can do it later for a nominal fee if i feel i need it...I'm sure the same would apply to you. Also, having lipo adds more time to your healing time or so I've read.
Yea, I'd rather get the recovery out of the way now and not pay extra fees later. Lol. I have the time off now- I won't later on. I hope he doesn't change his mind last minute about the upper abs. I really think I need it there.
What are you having done to your upper abs?
He originally said no lipo but on the second consult he said he could do a little lipo on the upper abs to make sure it isn't uneven. I can feel some fat there.
I'd send an email letting him know your thoughts and that you'd prefer having it over not. He seems like a pretty straight forward guy and someone that would consider your input. Especially since he waffled a bit, you want to know what to expect and get some clarification. I'm proof that lipo is a grey area for him :)
I'll just bring it up again in the pre-op, I guess. He said he would but I don't want him changing his mind while I'm under. :)
So, update, I stressed that I wanted it- he agreed it was necessary but when I woke up he didn't do it.. so hopefully it looks good anyway. :/ Too early to tell.
ORIGINAL POST

I've always had a tummy, it's where I have always...

I've always had a tummy, it's where I have always gained weight and its where I have projected 99% of my "hate" for my body. My weight has been up and down for the last 15 years, but it was the 80 lbs I gained with my 1st child (bringing me up to 225) that did the majority of the damage. I had my 2nd child 3 years ago and while I managed my weight gain better with that pregnancy my stomach muscles were shot as was my skin elasticity.

I've thought about having this procedure for as long as I can remember but I didn't think I'd ever actually go through with it as I get quite nauseous and squeamish with anything medical related (the smell of rubbing alcohol nearly makes me faint!). One day I decided that now was as good as any so I made an appointment with a PS! I nearly fainted at my first consult, haha, but kept moving forward with the plan. Oddly enough, going into the clinic the morning of my surgery felt totally natural, nerves were kept in check.

I'm currently 2 weeks PO and healing really well. There's still swelling, which I expect for the next 4-8 weeks but I'm standing nearly upright and have to remind myself not to over do it with lifting and housework.

I'm very happy with my results, there's no way I would ever have had a flat stomach if it weren't for this procedure. I'm currently battling boredom with food and not feeling really good about it, but I'm going to take it day by day and make each one better than the last.
