9 days post vi chemical peel

No more peeling. Skin is still tight and irritated. Melasma is all over my cheeks, never had melasma. It didn’t help with my sun spots around my mouth, it actually made it darker. Me entire face is brown with melasma. My foundation doesn’t even cover it. Now my face looks dirty with make up on. I hope this fades. I got on hydroquinolone 8%.

First Peel Ever

Let me start by saying I regret using the VI peel precision plus & I should have done more research before I started using the chemical peel. I never did anything abrasive to my skin before. I am 35 Asian skin with some sun spots around mouth areas, congested pores and some acne scarring. Friends were doing the peel and had great results, so I tried it. I was given the peel from a friend who works at a spa and some directions. I administered the VI peel myself and things were great. I thought I was healing fine, by day 5 I noticed some darker spots, hyperpigmentation, scaly, leathery dark patches that looked like it needed to come off. I was patient with it. It’s not day 7 and the dark spots are all over my cheeks. My face is worst than what I started with. Still irritated. I called my friend and my dr. I am now on hydrocortisone 2.5 %, aloe Vera, and moisturizing with aaquaphor. Praying that this subsided soon and does not scar my face. I did not leave my hours today and so embarrassed to be seen in public. I absolutely hate my skin now. So for anyone trying a peel for the first time, I would suggest do your research first. Make sure that your skin is right for the peel.
