I’ve gotten some messages to post updates as time goes on so here goes.
I’m on a diet and losing hair (nightmare) along with weight. It certainly does age you, and with weight loss comes some gaunt-ness, not a great look. Overall, I’m still happy and am so grateful to Dr Sarbak because he absolutely gave me “ME” back. The me who was self confident and just felt good, you know? There is nothing better than that. Thanks to many who’ve said such nice things to me. I appreciate you more than I can say.

I’ve been asked to put a more current photo up so I am going to try to add a couple, but it’s anybody’s guess if I can do it. I lightened my hair because at 64, you really shouldn’t have nearly black hair...especially if it’s not natural. Remember, gray hair is Mother Nature ‘s way of saying its time to lighten up. I’m still very happy with his work. My neck might be changing some, but I’ve also gained a little weight. These pics are the most recent ones.

I see some tell-tale signs around my mouth and chin, but honestly, I'm good with it all.

Janejaneydoe....I forgot to say I had a little Botox between my brows in February I believe, but that’s it so far. Yes, I will always go back to Dr Sarbak. Always.

I answered this yesterday, but I don't see it anywhere. What I said was, I don't know those terms so I can't say. I tried looking at my consent form, but it was just very generic. Remember, I had a FL in 2002 and what he did is repair that one. Although I guess 14 yrs later the facial muscles would have dropped again, but my original surgeon I think really messed up my muscle structure. He told me that when he was under my chin to attach the neck muscles, the original work was all just shoved up there, all "willy-nilly" and he had to undo it, straighten them out, and put them in the way they were supposed to be. I do know he cut me behind and in front of my ears. Also a tiny cut at my temples. I know he broke up scar tissue and cut sutures that had never dissolved. He did a little lipo to my belly and put some fat in my face so the skin wouldn't adhere to the muscles like it did the first time. He used some left over fat to plump my lips (which I loved) they since have sort of gone down, put I had some kind of filler put in January 2nd 2017. (6 months post op) I have had Botox in my forehead, between my eyes and over my brows one time I THINK in January (but possibly Feb of this year.) That is all I have done since surgery. You should go to his site at drsarbak.com and look at his photo gallery. Under facelifts, I am patient #16 and you can see my before and afters. You can see how just plain weird I looked pre op. I think I was so odd looking because of my original surgery. When I see them again I will ask about deep plane, or vertical.

PS... when I was talking about my lips going down and filler...I want to make sure I was clear that the filler was to my lips in January of '17. Believe me, I have been in that office showing him little dents or lines I don't like, but he just says they are fine. He will not do anything, no matter how much I want to pay him, if he thinks I don't need it.

I don't have an appointment, but I like to go by "wondering" if this or that is fixable. I will let you know, promise.

OK, I talked to my docs office today. She brought up my surgical report and it said SMAS plication lift. I don't know what that means, do you? She also talked to his OR nurse because he was in with a patient. She said that mine was different because he was repairing a bad one. Of course her words were that every face is different, and there is no way to know what someone needs until they come in and see the doc. That does not help you, I know.

You are probably right because if you go to his site and look at HIS before photos of me, you can see that I had big dents in my face and had a very weird, skeletal look. (and I wasn't skinny)

Looks great! Lately, what have you done with face? Fillers? Same dr that you still see him?

RNMJ53: You look very young! I do not want to sound cliche; however, you DO look so well rested and relaxed. Thank-you for the update. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2018 photos.

Looking GOOD after 14 yrs
RNMJ53September 17, 2016
I'm now almost 14 weeks out and I feel so good. I have very few lines on my face and I am still very pleased with the results. I was worried about the profile and how that normally is the dead giveaway when someone has had a facelift. I just don't think I have that problem after this surgery. (I sure did the 1st time.) I am going to try to download the latest photo, but I am not good at this. I changed my hair to go with my changed face. Almost 63 yrs old and my next adventure with Dr Sarbak is a TT, breast lift, lipo (flank), and fat graft (my bottom.) I'll let you know!!

Amazing!! Congratulations...you look fabulous.

Thank you so much....I'm so grateful to my doctor. For the first time in almost 15 yrs when people look at me, I'm not POSITIVE that it's because I look so weird. Now, it COULD be because I look decent. Thank you again.

You are just stunning.. Your youthful and your eyes sparkle. I love the hair also. Congrats on your decision...

Thank you!! I keep going to my doctor's site to see if he posted the before and after shots yet, and he hasn't. The before pic he has is so much worse even than the one I posted, I looked at that and said "if this is how I looked to you the day I walked in here, you should have knocked me out and started surgery immediately!!" It was SO, SO bad. I looked so old and haggard. Of course I had no make up on, but make up can only hide so much. Thank you again.
