Raised scar remover

Raised Scar Remover

WORTH IT$250
I have had a raised scar on the tip of my nose since I was about 15. It started as a pimple that I popped and picked and left a scar that slowly grew till it was a very noticeable red raised dot on the tip of my nose. It was always the first thing I noticed in pictures even if it wasn't always the first thing people noticed about me, but I was always self conscious about it. I had tried multiple creams and at home abrasion treatments with no success. I researched many other treatments usually looking for keloid scar treatments or hypertrophic scar treatments but never really saw anything that seemed to fit my scenario or that the results seemed promising. Fast forward 15 years, I'm thirty now and decided to do something about it. I saw one plastic surgeon in the STL area who suggested there really wasn't anything to be done. He wanted to do a punch excise on it to make sure it wasn't skin cancer and suggested it would fall in on itself and become smaller afterward and if I still wasn't happy he could cut out an eye shaped patch on my nose and stitch it shut in a line across my nose, which would just leave a different scar. I'm used to getting second opinions on everything though so I scheduled an appoint with Dr. Ridenour also in the STL area. This appointment was much different than my first one. He has an amazing bedside manner and was full of facts. He told me the scientific term for it, cherry angioma, covered what causes these, and went over what he thought was the best treatment for it, enter VBeam laser treatment. He and the nurse, Katelyn who was also amazing, both shared that they had also had facial treatments with the same Vbeam laser for different symptoms and had success with it. They told me it was a quick treatment that would send a certain wavelength of laser at my nose in a concentrated area and talked about the science behind it. I decided to go for it since they seemed so confident and ten minutes later the tip of my nose had a big brown bruise on it now. I was immediately second guessing my choice and wondering if I made the right decision. I washed it daily, applied neosporin to it once it started scabbing and wore a band-aid on it to cover it up while at work. They had mentioned it may need a couple treatments to get rid of the discoloration and if there was still a bump afterward they could shave it off, but to my surprise within the first week the raised scar part had actually started to scab like it was going to fall off, and eventually did. About three weeks after the procedure it was completely flat but still a little discolored. A week or two after that it was completely gone in time for Christmas photos which I was not self conscious about at all.

My experience was wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend this treatment or Dr. Ridenour and his staff to anyone I know. I researched for years literally before actually acting and was convinced there was not an answer in sight. My only regret is waiting as long as I did to do something about it.
