9 days post op and the swelling is staring to subside and numbness has started to ease. Hopefully wearing the vest and compression suit 24/7 is paying off!

What a Journey!
(32 year old, active, no kids, healthy life style) This procedure is unreal but worth it! Dr. Millard is one of the best in the country! I highly recommend him. Be prepared for a journey from the moment you get on the operation table to your recovery time. I have a desk job and went back to work 5 days after the procedure. However, I’m walking slowly around the office and people notice something is different (I tell them im moving slowly due to working out hard). You MUST have a caretaker for the first 3 days. I couldn’t even get out of bed the first 24 hours let alone hardly walk by myself. I’m healing quickly and I believe it’s due to my r&r and protein shakes. You’re not going to have an appetite the first week. That said, my surgeon recommended my current weight (in grams) of protein everyday. You can easily down a whey protein shake three times a day to meet that requirement easily. I have my first follow up appointment tomorrow. I’ll keep posting my milestone mark pictures. I’m looking forward to the final results and feeling good in bikinis and tank tops for the first time in long time!

Any regrets? How was the pain?
I wish I would have paid the extra money to go under. Other than that, no regrets. The pain and soreness after the procedure is no joke. The pains meds help though. The pain during the procedure is indescribable because you’re on a handful of meds and laughing gas. That said - there is some intense pain during the procedure especially around the backside and bellybutton area.
Was the pain terrible? Or just hard to describe. I want to void general anesthesia
Ribcage wasn’t pleasant and low back was the worst. You can totally do it without anesthesia, just know you will experience some uncomfortable parts of the surgery.
