How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Removed the hair so it’s easier to see what it looks like.
Back at the gym with no real issues. The whole area feels quite tight and hard but is getting better as the weeks go by. Still having 3 mld massages a week and the swelling is almost all gone.
Pretty pleased so far for such a short time post op.

A few pictures from 3 weeks post surgery.
Looking pretty good and a lot of the numbness has now gone along with the swelling. Still hate the compression garment and can’t wait to get back to the gym in a week or so.
Long update to get upto date!
As with many others I made contact with Natasza from topmedics who then passed my pictures onto a couple surgeons for pricing on abdomen, flanks and back. Within a day or two I had a few options but had already decided on Dr Mekle after seeing many of his reviews on here. I went ahead booked, paid my deposit and booked the flights. Natasza’s organisation of everything has been amazing and made the whole process a breeze.
On the day I arrived in Poland I was collected at the airport and taken for blood tests. I was then Taken to the apartment that is owned by the clinic as I had arranged to stay here for my week in Poland which was only a 2min walk from the clinic making return checkups easy. The apartment was very nice and modern with everything you would need. (And a cleaner that comes Everyday) There were a few shops just around the corner so you do not have to venture to far if you do not want to.
On the day of the surgery I arrived at 7.45 and after filling out some forms, having a consultation and paying the balance I was In theatre at around 9.15am! I woke up at around 2pm and felt fine with no real pain or problems that I didn’t expect.
The following day I had my drains removed and my first mld massage and then after seeing Dr Mekle I was discharged with some pain killers and spare dressings etc. Pain wise I did not use any pain killers as I did not feel the pain was enough to take them. The worst part of the whole thing is having to wear the compression garment 24h a day. It’s quite restrictive and not that comfortable. I had several massages while in Poland and my stitches removed on the last day before travelling home.
I have now been home a week and a half and everything has been going fine. I have been having 3 mld massages a week and self massage on the other days. I did find 2 small seroma’s and after consulting with Dr Mekle I went to my GP to get them drained. Unfortunately he was not interested in doing it and said I should see a private surgeon. I decided to do some research and ordered the equipment to do it myself and although I ordered the wrong side syringes (too small) my wife and I managed to drain them and got 55ml out between them and they have not returned so far!
I have now got a week and a half left of the compression garment and foam and looking forward to getting back to the gym/training.
I will try and update a bit more regularly as I go.
