Day 19-Amazing Practice & Team; Looks Great!
I have had a great experience with Dr. Millard and his practice. I was impressed at the first consultation with his vast knowledge, extensive research and implementation of his VASER liposuction technique, and thorough examination to determine if I would be a suitable candidate. I did not know very much about plastic surgery, and what to expect, but I left the consultation feeling very confident in choosing Dr. Millard for my surgery. I had an athletic frame all throughout my 20's and 30's but noticed I was getting the dreaded "Dad Bod" as I entered my early 40's. I tried several workout programs, and healthy eating plans and while I was losing weight on the scale there were several stubborn fat pockets that would not budge. I decided to move forward with the procedure. The day of surgery came and I appreciated the care of Kelly the nurse and Dr. Millard's fantastic bedside manner. I had elected to have the surgery not under general anesthesia and while I was awake, I enjoyed bantering with Dr. Millard and his staff!
Post Op through Day-7 was definitely tough, I was lucky to have my wife to take care of me and assist with the compression garments, and lightly massaging the areas treated. As someone who has never had any major surgery, it was quite a shock as to all the emotions I felt, and discomfort of sleeping on my back. I will say that Dr. Millard was always available to me by text or call when I had questions or concerns. I also knew that I needed to focus on my end goal and that the healing process was just part of the journey. I am now 18 days post op and feeling very confident in what my results will be. I could see a difference in my shape almost immediately, and although there is still swelling that comes and goes, I know the results will only continue to get better - along with continuing my proper diet and exercise of course! I am really am looking forward to this summer, in my swim trunks and fitting better in my suit jackets. I would certainly recommend Dr. Millard and his practice to my family and friends.
