5 month update

Hey everyone! I have seen a few new people comment recently so I thought I’d give a quick update. I’m doing well, status quo mainly! I really haven’t been working out more than usual (mostly when I can a few times a week). I haven’t lost any weight since my last post. However, the doctor really is right when she says it takes 6 months and even up to a year to see full results of the sculpting. I am posting a few pictures from today compared to April 10 which was just around 30 days post op. The difference is very obvious to me in the overall shape change of my body. I definitely don’t have a perfectly smooth and contoured abdomen, but my bra rolls are virtually gone and I actually have more hip shape and butt shape than I could have ever hoped for or achieved on my own! I’m so very pleased with my results and know they can only improve with my own continued exercise, etc.
This procedure was 100% worth the money, time and healing struggles. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Have a good week everyone!

Scar photos

Hello...a few of you have asked about scar pictures. I took these yesterday. These were awkward to take and not the best lighting but I think you get a decent idea of what they look like!
I am going in for my 6 week follow-up appointment tomorrow. I will update more after that!

4 weeks post op!

Hello! I’m officially 4 weeks out (well, tomorrow is technically 28 days but close enough). I am feeling pretty good in general and have no regrets for embarking on this journey. As you can see from the pictures, my shape has improved quite a bit and with the swelling lessening each day, I continue to see my final “shape” emerging. I have a few spots that seem to be a combo of loose skin and residual fat and they don’t really bother me at all. I am confident that with my normal diet and exercise (I’m not 100% back to exercising yet) my final results will be amazing. I think Dr. Precht is fabulous at her job – this is really a combination of science, education and ART and she has all 3. I would highly recommend her and her team!
Now, on to a few other updates/details…
- I still have overall tenderness in all areas, particularly my lower abdomen and flanks. I notice this when doing my own massages and also if I lay in one spot and start to feel stiff when I roll/move.
- I have been getting Endermologie/LPG massages twice a week (I’ve had 4 so far) and overall I do think those are helping with circulation and swelling. They feel like an intense deep tissue massage.
- I have two really hard lumps – both are about 3 inches long/2 inches wide. One is under my belly button and one is on the right side of my mons area where my panty line is. I massage them daily and try to be as firm as I can. I can’t really tell if they are shrinking or not. They aren’t squishy so I don’t believe they are seromas. I think they are scar tissue and/or fat necrosis that will just take time for my body to absorb. That being said, I will discuss with the doctor during my 6 week visit and see what she says.
- I’ve also been dry brushing all over my body 4-5 times a week before I shower or before bed. I have read this also helps with circulation and it does feel good!
- My overall swelling is down and I don’t really feel like I fluctuate throughout the day unless I am very active (I did hot yoga on Monday and definitely felt swollen)
- I am still chugging at least a gallon of water a day and eating mostly low carb (I am allowing more sodium this week and its been fine, no impact to my swelling). I’ve had a few meals with higher carbs and while I feel full/bloated right after, I don’t feel horribly swollen for more than the evening of. Meaning, the next morning I feel back to normal.
- I have lost a total of 12 pounds since the night before my procedure. I believe most of the weight loss is due to strict eating and NO alcohol but I’m sure some of it is due to the procedure.
- I’m wearing my compression garment all day (after morning shower until I go to bed). I am in one size smaller garment than what I was in on day 1. It sometimes is very uncomfortable but mainly around my rib area where I am certainly not shrinking in!
- I’m still taking collagen in the morning (powder) and fiber and a daily vitamin. I am only taking Ibuprofen as needed for soreness.
That’s all I can think of for now… I’ll check in again after my 6 week appointment! That is when the doctor does the official “after” photos. Yay!
