Update at 4 weeks

I was going to pop on at 2 weeks but here I am at 4 instead. Let me first say I LOVE MY RESULTS. Like next level love them. The exciting thing is I'm not done shrinking and healing. It just keeps getting better every day. I am still numb in many places and have a pins and needles feeling around my flanks and back...but that is totally normal. It's slowly dissipating. Yes I wish it was faster but I would totally do this again knowing what the recovery is like. I can stop wearing my compression garment tomorrow but I will probably keep wearing it for a bit. Especially on my long walks. Pics will be posted at 7 weeks cause I will be on vacation for a bit. If you are think about whether you should see Dr. Precht, I can tell you that she is amazing!!!

Amazing doctor and amazing results

DAY 5 post procedure: I’ve been considering lipo for quite a while to get rid of the stubborn menopause fat around my midsection. I feel extremely lucky that I live in Seattle and was able to see Dr. Precht. I am only 5 days out from the procedure but I thought I would document things a bit for anyone thinking about going to see her. To start, Dr. Precht and her entire staff are AMAZING. They are super nice and they listen. You won’t feel rushed in any way and she thoroughly answers questions.

I will confess that I’ve had a few other procedures done (eyes, lower face lift, breast reduction) and I sort of thought this would be a similar recovery. It is definitely not. It is much more painful than I expected. With that said, I had a lot done…..upper lower middle abs, upper lower middle back (flanks), hips and outer thighs. Dr. Precht gives you appropriate pain medication so there is nothing to worry about as far as having something to treat the discomfort, however, I am nowhere close to pain free or back to my normal routine at day 5. I’m laughing at myself for thinking I would be. I should also add that every person is different and handles pain differently. I have been able to follow her instructions perfectly, which is a relief, but it’s not fun. I have walked every day, kept the compression garment on except when I showered and maintained a diet of low carbs and lots of water!! I can’t stress how much the water has helped. I didn’t drink as much the third day because I slept most of the day and man could I tell.

I can say for myself if I had to return to an office and work, I wouldn’t be able to. I would say two weeks from home min if you are having a lot done. Again, that could just be me. I am fortunate to have a tempurpedic that lifts up at the head of the bed and the foot. If you don’t have an adjustable bed I would highly recommend getting a wedge off amazon to prop up your head and/or feet. It can help take pressure off of painful areas if you have your back done. I purchased a second compression garment from Dr. Precht. If you can afford it, I highly recommend that. The drainage of fluid over the first two days is significant!! Use the plastic bag she includes and put it under your sheet so you don’t ruin your mattress. I despise the compression garment but I hate the idea of my results suffering more. :) It’s pretty painful at this point but from what I have read that improves.

My results are INCREDIBLE. I was less swollen on day 2 so I could really see what I was going to look like when I removed the compression garment and I was so excited. My two girlfriends who were here taking care of me were stunned. Even my husband (who is too afraid to ever comment on my procedures lol in the most supportive way) was surprised.

I will pop back on and update in a week. I don’t have pics yet but I will post them when I do.
