I feel so ripped off by this company and would...

I feel so ripped off by this company and would highly suggest you "read the fine print" before giving them your money (especially for their "refundable" kits). I purchased a kit very excited, mailed in my impressions, and was told they were not sufficient (which isn't uncommon). I called them because I figured I wasn't a good candidate as I have been struggling with wisdom teeth/jaw issues (which isn't common) which I explained, in detail, to their customer service. I was assured not to worry whatsoever about that and purchase another kit, as they are fully refundable and they'll just send me bigger trays (against my better judgement, I agreed). Completed my second impressions (which were extremely painful because the size of the trays), mailed it in, and they were declined. I called again to tell them I don't think it was going to work because of the same issues. Again, I was encouraged to purchase ANOTHER kit as it was "fully refundable" if it doesn't work. I told them I was going to think about it (because I started to get that "scam" feeling in my stomach).

I decided to book an appointment with an Ortho in my area to see if they could potentially help me with the impressions if I decided to get another kit/verify if I was able to even move forward with clear trays. He IMMEDIATELY told me I was not a good candidate because of the issues I had mentioned to customer service on the phone as it could cause some real damage and I needed several other issues addressed before I could even think of clear retainers (years- jaw, wisdom, etc).

No problem because these "refundable kits" are refundable thank god and I have a record of explaining to customer service ((3 times)) my issue. WRONG. I called to explain/confirm my original thought and was told, "Sorry, only our personal Orthodontist can determine if you're a good fit and decide if you are not which is the only time we refund kits."

I asked if I could please talk to their Orthodontist so I could 1.Schedule a visit so they could see my issues or 2. Explain to them what is going on. "No sorry be can't allow you to do that." Why not? "Because that's not how we do things."

Then what are my options? "Basically we can make a record and when you are able to pay for our full program/trays, we'll refund your kits." That will be years from now and I was assured a refund when I was encouraged to purchase numerous kits. "Sorry we can't do anything about that. Only our Orthodontist can determine if you are a good fit." Well, again, I'm asking to speak to the Ortho. "Sorry you can't do that." SCAM.

I'm out the cost of two of these kits (one I was assured repeatedly to purchase and not worry about because of the refund policy).

"If it turns out that aligners won't work for you, we'll give you a full refund on your impression kit." NOPE!! Unless their PERSONAL Orthodontist, that you are not allowed communicate to whatsoever, thinks you are a good fit regardless of NEVER seeing you, speaking to you, examining you, etc., thinks you are a good fit - we will NOT refund the numerous kits we encourage you to purchase regardless of your wellbeing.

Again, I haven't felt so scammed/ripped off by a company in a long time. Great business practices!
