After a double mastectomy (skin and nipple...
After a double mastectomy (skin and nipple sparing), I wanted to look just like before surgery. Dr. Gabriel suggested over the muscle implants. Expanders with air were placed during mastectomy. Botox was used to keep the pain minimal. Implants were put in 4 mos. later, with some fat transfer. Another fat transfer was performed 6 mos. after implants. Now a year and a half later, I am completely thrilled with the results. I wear the same style and size bras I wore before the surgeries and people tell me they would never have guessed I had been through all this. Even looking in the mirror, I am pleased with the results.
During the entire process, I was able to keep up with activities such as swimming, walking and yoga (other than the wait time for surgery sites to heal before getting in the pool). Of course the level of activity was reduced somewhat following each surgery, but it still felt good to be able to exercise.
Dr. Gabriel has helped a sad diagnosis a lot easier to deal with by making my body physically appealing, which in turn makes coping with the mental process a lot easier!

Dr. Gabriel is absolutely fabulous! He takes time to explain procedures and answer all your questions so that you fully understand what to expect.
