The worst part of the whole thing was the freezing needles, I literally cried. The procedure was super quick and I was out in 20 minutes. On the drive home the freezing wore off and It hurt like hell. The surgical tech told me to take Tylenol (seriously), I had some tramadol left over from Mexico when I got the flu down there and took that, it SAVED me, they should really give pain meds for the first night in my opinion. I feel great today and I'm shocked at how good the incision looks already. I'm disappointed that I don't have tooth show because I really, really, really wanted it but as long as I don't have the long monkey lip I think I can be happy. The next few weeks will be the determination, I cant wait to get dolled up and put makeup on:).. I also can't wait to take some selfies with makeup on! It's funny because while I was laying there getting sewn up I suddenly felt my lips part and It was such a foreign feeling, I immediately noticed the difference in how my lips normally felt. My doctor and the surgical tech were wonderful by the way:)

Omg Buonassisi told you to take Tylenol?!? He didn't prescribe you any pain meds? Just that might be a deal-breaker for me. That's ridiculous.

You are going to look fantastic. You have beautiful lips and the shorter distance is going to really take you to the next level in terms of lips. Regarding the incision site, it will also go through healing stages. It may even get a little worst at one point. Try not to do anything in the first month or so that really pulls on the incision. And know that there are lasers for redness and microneedling for a raised scar, so don't panic if any of that starts to happen.

Thanks for your advice and your encouragement, I really appreciate It! I will definitely try the lasers for the redness!! :)))

Considering seeing the same dr as you for this procedure. Worried it may change the shape or look of my nose. Have you noticed that at all?
May 15, 2017
I've got wonky nostrils anyways from my previous rhinos (drives me nuts) but I don't think the lift changed my nose at all. In a few weeks I'm I'll post some side by sides. Dr Buonassisi did a wonderful job, I'm really happy so far with my results. I'm so glad I did It, I just want to heal now so I can start microneedling and treating my scar with retinol.

Thank you for the reply. I had a rhino 12 years ago and was very pleas d with the results so I don't want to do anything that could alter the nose. I've seen some lip lifts on here that look like the noses have been altered. Glad to hear yours has not

Lol! Yes, that's the only thing I didn't like about all of this. Maybe he will be receptive to prescribing just a few pills for when the freezing wears off, I only needed pain relief for one day. It wouldn't hurt to ask.. but like I said, I had some left over tramadol so I was ok, but if I definitely would have suffered without it. By day 2 It was almost no pain at all.. pain pills are such a slipper sloap so I get where he's coming from..

I sort of get where he's coming from with all the OD'ing going on in Vancouver currently, but I also think he's being overly cautious. I also have some Tramadol. Thanks for the heads up about that. I'm currently in the consultation phase with his office . . .
