Dr Buonassisi was recommended by my sister who had successful surgery to correct a drooping eyelid. Dr B spent lots of time discussing pros & cons with me. We decided that the eyelid surgery would not achieve my goals of correcting my low eyebrows & frown. The direct brow lift raised the brow, opened up my eyes & made eyelid surgery unnecessary. I look younger & happier. Easy office procedure. Little pain. Quick recovery. Minimal scarring. Great followup.

That’s is what I am wondering. After a year and a half on here debating whether I need a Blepharoplasty alone or with a browlift, I finally went to a doctor for my consult yesterday. It seems like I’ve been waiting forever. I had really only heard about endoscopic brow lifts and the “old fashioned” cut all along the forehead. Neither appealed to me. I really only need a slight lift because my brows are already set slightly low, but when you get a Blepharoplasty, they can possibly lower even more, which would definitely make them too low. I could use a little lift to brighten my tired , overworked eyes anyway.

Long story short, the doctor I had my consult with, who is an oculoplastic surgeon, suggested the direct brow lift, which I had never even thought about or really heard of. The fear of having a direct incision along my upper brow line scares me a little bit. I don’t want permanent scars. Who does? I saw some pictures of her patients and even an office assistant who had the procedure done in January and I couldn’t see ANY scarring. I felt much better about getting it done after that. I set my surgery date for December 1st and plan to document my progress on here with pictures. So many others have helped me do my research by doing the same, so I’d like to give back if I can.

I noticed your question was recent, so in about a week or 2 I will begin my “story” beginning with my before pictures. I am 43 years old and want to do this sooner rather than later. If you check back in a month, you should start to see the pictures of my Blepharoplasty and the direct brow lift from day 1.
