WORTH IT
Freedom : That is the overwhelming feeling after this surgery. Freedom from the weight, freedom from the shoulder straps digging into my shoulders, freedom from the difficulty sleeping because my breasts got in the way, freedom from the pain in my neck and shoulders, freedom from the expensive bras and bathing suits prices, freedom to exercise without having to strap myself in corset style so that the girls would not bounce... so much freedom it's absoluetely wonderful.
Then there are the side benefits : clothes fit correctly, I can wear a blouse without the buttons popping open, every slightly low neckline doesn't give me the cleavage of a Penthouse babe, I can find bathing suits that cover what should be covered. It's all very nice!
Oh and best of all, I can actually get away without wearing a bra, now that is amazing for someone who never went without one since she was 15 exept at night.
I was never disappointed with my body before, I told myself in my teenage years that I would be proud of what was given to me and I was. I stayed fit so that the weight would not be to difficult to carry and did my best to dress well. Then as I reached 45 arthritis set in and I just could not see how I was going to carry all that weight on my chest as I got older. Time for a change.
From the get go Dr Seal made things easy. From an informative website to a thorough consultation during witch he asked all the right questions in a very comforting manner. I also got the chance to ask the many questions I had without ever feeling rushed. Dr Seal listened to me and what I was looking for and the result was even better than I had envisionned. Finaly a proportional body!
The surgery was as a surgery is, not the most fun thing in the world, but Dr Seal and the staff at Mount St Joseph Hospital made it as pleasant as it could be.
The pain following the surgery was not as great as I had thought it would be and totaly controlable with the medications I was given. At all times I felt very comfortable contacting Dr Seal's clinic if had questions or concerns. The follow up visits were as pleasant as the initial consultation and again, I never felt rushed, always had plenty of time to ask my questions and Dr Seal was very forthcoming with answers and always made me feel comfortable.
The incision scars are much better than I expected them to be, and they are still only 4 months old at this point and should continue to improve over the next 8 months I am told. Though I can say that if they stay as they are now, I would still be very happy with the result.
Finaly, the staff at Dr Seals clinic were also very pleasant and helpful, a pleasure to deal with.
All in all, this was one of the best decisions of my life! I still feel like me, just improved, and that is exactly what I wanted. I can't thank Dr Seal and his team enough!

Congratulations! I am glad you had such a wonderful experience. I feel the same way about my experience, although I am only 21/2 weeks away from surgery. I too am shocked that the scars are already fading somewhat, but I assume they will get even better over the next months? Do yours look a lot different now than they did 2 and a half weeks away from surgery? I am having 2 complications.. I still have 2 openings that aren't healing as well, where the incisions meet on the bottom of my breast (the T zone) and I wonder if anyone has any advice about that? The doctor presribed Keltotat for 3 days and I will use a topical ointment after that. And I have some arm numbness and pain. Other than that, I am healing well and just tired, and feeling a bit out of the loop, not driving yet, (as that hurts my arm) and not yet able to do much physically, other than walking. But it's only 17 days since surgery, so I need to be patient.
I was about the same size as you were, a G or Double G, (is that the same thing as an H?) and although I do not know my size yet, I think I will probably be a 34 C or D! I asked for a C and the doctor while not able to predict an exact size was aiming for a large C small D. Is that really small enough to go without a bra??? HOw exciting that would be. I too could never go without a bra, and would have to put one on to answer the door even to sign for package! Talk about freedom! Thanks for the great post, it expresses everything I feel about the procedure.

Lovely post with the freedom and results I am hoping for from my surgery on Monday (June 29, 2015). Also an H cup and vascillating on whether to do to a C or D. Looks like I might be happy either way. Thank you for your update.
