Review 8 Hours After Vaginoplasty and Perineoplasty

I just had Vaginoplasty and perineoplasty with Dr Patel. I’ve considered this procedure for 2 years now after 2 babies made me stretch, decreased sensation and vag has an “open” appearance. Air trapped during intercourse and sometimes limited positions are needed to ensure my legs are closed enough to create friction. It affected my self-confidence and libido drastically. Finally did a consultation where Dr. Patel and Kali made me feel so comfortable. Kali was prompt in communicating and answered all my post-consultation questions. Pre-op and post-op instructions were detailed. Day of the surgery comes, I was asleep and next thing you know, I was done! I have a high tolerance for pain but I’m sure anesthesia hasn’t worn off yet since I’m still 8-hrs postop. No pain, just an ache. If you sit on your butt, it’ll cause discomfort of course. I try to lay on my side or do frequent walks around the house to prevent complications. I peeked at the site and omg—I can already tell my opening was small. It even appears smaller than pre-birth, which I’m loving and so excited about. I see the dissolvable sutures and they look well done. Still taking it slow because I know there are some internal sutures too, of course yet to know how well the inside has been tightened. So far, it’s a great experience.
