Dr Klaushie is Wonderful
I saw Dr Klaushie for pelvic organ prolapse. Initial visit was for grade 3 rectocele, specifically.
I’m am fairly young (38) to be experiencing the symptoms and issues I have been for years.
I tried finding doctors in my area that could perform the surgery I needed and found Dr Klaushie. I couldn’t find any reviews. So I would like to leave one for her. For anyone going through this and questioning whether they should see her… you should see her. She is incredible.
Personally, I decided to opt for surgery from the get go. I met with Dr Klaushie where she was able to diagnose my prolapse but wanted me to get a urodynamics test before putting together a treatment plan, in the event I was experiencing any other issues that were not readily apparent by a visual inspection.
It took around 2 months for my urodynamics appointment, which went well. I was very pleased with the staff and the visit. The gal that I was scheduled with for that visit was lovely, knowledgeable and professional.
I passed my urodynamics test with flying colors.
Despite passing the test and “not needing” it, I’m very thankful that I took the test and that Dr Klaushie has her patients take it for good measure to ensure there isn’t something she cannot see or feel that could be wrong.
A week later, I saw Dr Klaushie to go over the test results and treatment plan.
I was scheduled for Anterior and Posterior Colporrahaphy a few weeks later.
It was at four peaks surgery center. The staff and facility was amazing. They were all so helpful.
Dr Klaushie was smiling and in such great spirits. It really put me at peace with my decision to get surgery, I knew I was in the very best hands and that I was going to get fixed up to the best of her ability. It also brought a smile to my face to know that she is doing something she loves to do, seeing her in her element.
Surgery went amazing. No side effects from the anesthesia or anything!
I left with a catheter for the next 24 hours and was scheduled to return back to the office, next day, for a void test to make sure my bladder had woken up and was functioning normally. If not, they would send me back home with the catheter.
Thank goodness I passed the void test!! They took out the packing they had to place inside the canal, as well.
I recovered very quickly. I didn’t have to take pain medication past 2 days and was up walking about by day 3. Driving by day 4. I felt great. I had a gel seat pad to sit on, a heat pad for my belly, durablast spray for pain, peribottle for cleaning and colace to ensure smooth bowel movements.
My first bm didn’t come until around day 5, it was terrible and the pressure was very painful. Anyone who has ever had a vaginal birth knows this all too well. The first poop after giving birth is the worst. You are too afraid to push, it’s all swollen and it hurts.
But nevertheless, the bm came and went. The others were much easier as time went on.
I could tell the surgery was a success by day 2. I had gas and was able to pass it like a normal person!! You have no idea how amazing that feels! No trapped gas in the pocket, no twisting my body to and sitting in weird positions to help the gas release. I literally sat and farted
I was so incredibly blown away at how fast I had recovered from such major surgery.
I know it is because of the extensive knowledge and skill that Dr Klaushie possesses.
I would say, the only thing I could have wanted more was more time with her during the appointments. She is such a busy lady. I really enjoy being able to build a patient/doctor relationship and feel like I am able to connect with the doctor. Dr Klaushie has been doing this a very long time and is in such high demand, I know she cannot offer the coddling I was desiring. Despite this, I felt very comfortable with her and wanted to continue with the surgery with her as my doctor and surgeon.
I was next seen at week 7 and was cleared to return to all normal activities. I was hip thrusting 220lbs before surgery and was weight training, I was relieved to hear I was allowed to resume those activities but had to ease back into it.
I am now writing this as I am 12 weeks post op.
Everything is amazing. Not only did she fix my prolapse and I can poop and fart normally, but she tightened the canal up- it’s nice and snug but very functional.
After two natural vaginal childbirths, I felt the entrance and the canal were wider. It was difficult to feel the friction during intercourse. I expressed to Dr Klaushie that I was hoping to end up with a smaller, tighter entrance and canal. She had said that, even though this is not what she does specifically, that the nature of the surgery itself will tighten things up.
I feel so amazing and am so happy that I chose Dr Klaushie as my doctor and surgeon. I highly suggest and recommend her for anyone experiencing pelvic organ prolapse.
Thank you Dr Klaushie
