First of all, this site has been SO helpful. The reviews and experiences by the members are wonderful to read, and the overwhelming support everyone seems to receive is amazing!
After a previous consultation with a local surgeon, reading the reviews, and completely stalking all the plastic surgeon's websites, I chose a surgeon who is about 3 and half hours away from me. My consultation with Dr. York Yates was last Thursday. The lady who helped me at the front counter was super sweet, as well as the nurse that took me back. The consultation took about an hour and a half. Dr. Yates is great. He got straight to the point, he's very kind, and he had a huge amount of patience for my list of questions. He answered all of them completely and without rushing at all. The 3D imaging software was so cool and so helpful! I went in there thinking I knew exactly what I wanted and after listening to him explain all of my options and seeing it on the computer screen, I changed my mind.
I originally wanted the anatomical and thought I wanted a set of 500 cc's. I decided on a Sientra round silicone at 435 cc's. I wanted a natural look, no lift (which I am borderline for on one side), and big but not huge. I'm hoping to come out with a D. I'm currently a pretty deflated and saggy B. I opted for no lift on the one side. I think at this point in time I'd rather have them a little lopsided than have the scars. I know I'll love them anyway.
After spending a while with him, we spoke with the finance gal (I can't remember what her actual title was), and she had even more answers to all of our questions. She was also very sweet and so so helpful. My surgery was booked for less than a week away, which is tomorrow, and I couldn't be more excited! I'm sticking up a few before pics, even though my comfort level with that is nearly non-existent. I'll add some after pics tomorrow and for the next few months. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!
I do have a question... I have read a ton about recovery time, so I know the general rules/suggestions on that but I would love to hear about anyone's actual time to get out and about. Such as getting out of the house to run to the store or gas station. I'm wondering if I'll be able to take my youngest in to her immunization appointment on Wednesday. Is that too soon? The day after?

You look great! What did you use for a recovery bra? I have a month to go before I get new boobs and need a recovery bra.
