It's been over seven years since I made what ended...
It's been over seven years since I made what ended up being the worst decision of my life with Dr. Moore. I had breastfed one child, but my breasts were still beautiful, and fit my body accordingly. Three surgeries later and after a HORRIFIC infection that happened at the hand of Dr. Moore, I am having to remove my implants completely. Infections happen, yes. They are rare, yes. The problem was that Dr. Moore flat out ignored my complaints of a high fever, cough, and swelling of my breast. He acted as if I was bothering him, and told me repeatedly that I just had the "flu." Had the flu? Afer a major surgery? (Whether it's so-called "rapid recovery" or not...it's an invasive surgery under general anesthesia...it's major.) He kept pumping me with lortabs and acting as if I was a baby. I was dying. Literally dying. He was upset because I called on the ER line one night and woke up his new baby and wife. What about my one-year-old baby that I had? By the time my incision opened up and started pussing (which was after weeks of telling him I had an infection, and him telling me that my right breast was "healing just fine and only marginally larger") he "realized" I had an infection. I went in for emergency surgery where the nurse told me afterward "I shouldn't be telling you this, but it was really bad. Everything was completely green inside, I've never seen anything like it. They had to quickly shove a tube down your throat because you weren't breathing." I wore a disgusting drain for a few weeks that drained fluid that looked like redbull and smelled terrible. I had to stuff my bra with an implant (as a favor from Dr Moore, letting me borrow a display) because the left one was kept in place. My right breast had to be scraped so it hung like a sock. It was disgusting and extremely PAINFUL. After three months like this, I had my final breast augmentation. I was a single mother at the time, living paycheck to paycheck, and should have gone to a different surgeon. Unfortunately, I was also very young and very scared, and thought that Dr. Moore was doing me a favor to offer me "free" surgeries to cover up his mistake. In truth, I could have filed a major lawsuit for the neglect and pain and suffering he put me thorugh by ignoring a life threatening infection. I didn't. And I have paid for it, tremendously. I have never been the same since my breast augmentation. (In sake of telling the whole truth, and not just blaming Dr. Moore) this is not simply because I had an infection. This is also because (although Plastic surgeons do not tell you this, Dr. Moore included) breast implants have more than 30 neurotoxins and carcingens in them. (Saline is not exempt from this, because although filled with a saline fluid---they are in a sillicone shell.) They slowly poison you!! Do your research prior to getting implants. If you are really serious about getting breast implants, with Dr. Moore or anyone else---read the book "The Naked Truth about Breast Implants, from Harm to Healing" written by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr Kolb, or in the least watch some videos by Dr Malmed online (another plastic surgeon that after 1992 refuses to do breast implants and will ONLY offer explantations ) I have called Dr Moore's on multiple occasions asking for my medical records (my legal right through HIPAA) and have been completely blown off my his office, saying that they were in storage and they would call me later with them. I have called every single year, but this was the final straw--they now said that although my "bio-identical hormone" records (done the same year as my breast augmentations) were in the file, the others had somehow disappeared...been thrown out, they only have to keep them for seven years then they throw them away. When the office staff asked Dr Moore about me, he apparently said "I remember that name." Well, I would hope you would Dr. Moore, if breast implant infections are so "rare" then you should most certainly at least remember my name. I have never forgotten you, or the terrible suffering you have put me through. I am happy to say that I am writing a book about this, as well as working on a television show to expose the supposed "rarities" caused by breast implants. If I waited another day with that infection----my little daughter would have grown up without a mother.
