Visit 9/16/15

My bottom teeth are done! Went in for set #9 on 9/16 I was informed on my visit there were no more bottom portions of the set so I am to continue to wear the current bottom portion (probably serves as a retainer for awhile). They are pretty straight! They never were as crowded as the top area. I have come a long way since I have started and I am already starting to feel a little more confident. Can't wait to be complete!

Almost 9 months in...

Crazy how these things are working....I see progress but I feel I still have a bit to go. I have had 2 or 3 new sets since my last post. I get new ones usually once a month. No major IPR done since previous visits (thank god) only very slight with the thin sand paper like product...not the scary disc. I have been pretty good about wearing them all the time, there may be a rare day here and there that I actually leave them out more than 2 hours a day...and even if I do it is not for much longer. I am on set 8 right now. Hopefully my teeth will be straight by the beginning of 2016. Then I will find out the procedure for the retainer phase...etc. Pics in this post are from the end of July and one from today, Sept 4th.

Noticing changes on the bottom

My last appointment was on 4/20 and it was basically just to check out my teeth, put new trays in and be told to wait 6 weeks to come back. My guess 6 weeks is because I still had pretty large gaps from the IPR done on the previous visit. So when I go in 6 weeks I have to have the digital scans done again so I can get more aligners. Clear Image does it this way for better accuracy is what I was told. So then I have to wait another 2 weeks before getting my next set. Kind of a bummer, but I am seeing some slight changes already from the set given to me on 4/20. My bottom teeth are showing progress index (the IPR gap is almost closed) , but the top tooth is much slower. The top tooth is more of an issue becuase it is crowded further back. I cannot WAIT for that one to move some more. Just hoping for the best!!!
