Impressive Results
I’m a middle-aged male that had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with laser resurfacing from Dr. Scheiner, and can say that I am overall very pleased by the experience and results. I found Dr. Scheiner and his staff to be very attentive to any of my questions and concerns, and as someone who had never had any sort of surgery before, they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with the entire process.
Honestly, the results have been pretty impressive, with multiple people stating that I look younger, and even having a store clerk ask for my ID when buying beer for the first time in around 8 years. Lol. As a guy, I think this probably would benefit you most if your eye area is making you look like you are angrier or more tired all the time than you actually feel. It’s definitely helped to make my eyes look more rejuvenated and younger again.
That all said, please be aware that there is a significant healing process to this surgery, and especially if you are getting laser resurfacing done at the same time, you can expect to most likely look pretty weird for at least a couple of months afterward until things have settled down. As I have very fair skin, one of the biggest healing challenges for me seemed to be from the laser treated skin around my eyes to look like a red raccoon mask non-stop for the first full month at least. Something that I actually think eventually helped heal this for me was me using a 850nm red light on the area for a few minutes per day, which seemed to rapidly reduce the skin redness, although this was not doctor prescribed, I sort of did it on my own, so you might want to double-check with the doctor that this is okay for you before trying.
Overall, I’d say if you’re thinking about doing something like this, Dr. Scheiner and his team are fantastic, and you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t any least consult with them to see what they think could be done in your case. I don’t think anything can really perfectly turn back the clock on your face 15 years, but this is about as close as it can get. Just make sure you are prepared for the substantial healing time required, and have asked any and all possible questions you can think of relevant to your particular situation to make sure it is the right choice for you and understand all potential risks.
Thank you Dr. Scheiner, as it’s a pretty great feeling to look in a mirror again and not feel like my dad is angrily scowling back at me! Lol.
