Finally Booked my Surgery!!! :) - Edinburg, TX

While I wait for my next checkup*, I will continue to use my Scaraway silicone scar sheets. I just started them on Monday night so I haven't even completed a week yet. I take a shower and then apply them. I'm doing this everyday. I switch sheets in between. When I take off the previous ones, I wash them and then put them in front of the fan to dry. I put on a new set and when the old set is dry, I put them away. I wear them all day. I'll keep you all updated on the results! Happy Healing!!! :D

So I went to my appointment this past Monday and I spoke with my Dr. He said I was healing very well and that I am able to exercise and all from now on! He told me that he was going to fix the raised scar in the near future once my skin is ready. I asked him if he could also make my belly button smaller and he said of course! That my belly button was originally very small and in but now its wide and out. Also that my scar was straight but everything moved with the swelling. He also said that I was still very swollen which I found surprising because I look thin! So that just means I'm going to look better! My next appointment is the first week of Nov. He will check if my skin is ready and if it is, he will schedule me for surgery again! I will have to go to sleep again but he said it was for a way shorter period of time. He also said he can do the surgery on a Friday and I can go back to work on Monday. :) I'm happy right now but I can't wait until my revision! Yay :D

It's finally been a little over a month and I feel a lot better!!! My swelling has gone down a lot and my scar has improved! I can sleep on my sides now and stretch when I wake up! I finally engaged in more normal activities this past weekend! :) I've been driving around for about two weeks. It doesn't hurt as much when I sneeze anymore! :) My scar is very pencil thin but still red. I ordered Scar Away Silicone Scar Sheets to smooth it out and reduce the redness. I'll keep you all updated to see how well they work!! :) I will start them in a week. Happy Healing!!!
