Back to work!

Ok so U went back to work Thursday which was 23 days postop. I was a little nervous about the unknown at first. I'm a hospital floor nurse, I work 12hr shifts and it's non stop, on my feet a minimum of 10 of those 12 hours. So I didn't really know how my body was hm gonna react. Well, it went good, I did have periods of tights edd whenever I finally did sit down. As long as I kept moving I was fine. I was just more tired that usual at the end if the shift though.

Today make my 3rd 12hr shift this week, and I'm still good. The increased activity/walking seems to be helping the selling some.
I'll keep you all posted!

Late post.....3wk PO pics

This is 3 weeks postop pics, I did not have a garment on on pic. I do still have a lot of swelling in my flanks and mid to upper belly. My lower belly is flat but still hard, and the drainingd is slowing down. After 3 wks, I was finally able to stand up straight, but if I sit too long or don't move enough it gets right and I have to bend over oh sin for the first minute it do after I stand again. Overall, I feel great. Still loving what U see. No pain. Just occasional tightness.

15 days postop

Feeling good. No more pain. Still a lot of swelling and tightness whenever I get to doing a lot. I'm still not able to stand up completely straight, but much better.
Last night I tried to lay down for the first time in 2 weeks, that didn't last long. I've been sleeping in my wedge pillow. It seems that the only way I can actually lay down is if I lay on my back and elevate my knees........so I've just been sleeping on the wedge bed.
Overall I feel really good.
I still have a hardened area in my lower abdomen, where the darkness is, but it's getting smaller and smaller.
My incision looks great! There was one area I was concerned about bc it was open a little, I just didn't daily dressing changes on it with neosporin and it is almost completely healed now.
I'm still draining some from the pink area above my pubic zone, but it has really slowed down, I just apply neosporin daily and keep a maxi pad there.

I just wanted to touch bases with you all. I'm in for the night, can't be cute on NYE in the night life hunched over.
Happy New Year!! Be Safe out there!!
