2 Weeks Post Op - United Kingdom, GB

Hi , sorry I didn't reply sooner , only just seen your post. I had a consultation with mr prinsloo, & he could have done it 2 weeks later if I wanted. I decided to book it 4 months after cus it suited me.. He was brilliant! Very meticulous. Any questions just ask :-) x

thanks for the reply, it's so comforting speaking to someone who's had the same surgeon. I'm booked in for 6th October! How are your scars now? He didn't have any before and afters so that would have really made me nervous, if i hadn't seen yours, they looked so normal at 2 weeks! Hehe it is exciting. My scars are virtually invisible now, but saying that when I took my bandages off I couldn't see them. I had a tummy tuck at Nuffield by a different surgeon , & mr prinsloo looked at my belly button & said while I'm under he will get rid of the scars for me for free. I bought a couple of nighties from matalan that were front fastening , a pair of tracky bottoms, lots of magazines. I bought a few sport bras from asda & wore them about 6 days after. But on here I've read people say the royce bra is good. Dead excited for you the Nuffield is like a hotel & the food is lovely xx

Also when I'd been marked up and was taken down to theatre mr prinsloo came in & comforted me. The anaesthetist was also lovely , asked about my family then before I knew it I was out lol xx

Oh that is another thing i was going to ask! omg, actually going into the theatre awake scares the crap out of me... but all the staff were really nice when i went for my consultation, so hopefully it will be the same when surgery comes around. I'm still worried I'm going to run off and not go through with it. Just have to keep thinking about the end result! I'm going to be a nervous wreck when it comes round x

Your bound to be scared . What I thought was " stuff this no way I'm living with boobs as bad as this"! I couldn't go anytime without a bra! Even bed time so no way I was putting up with that ,thinking that way made me determined '. On the day I was strangely calm. He marked me up then about 2 hours later the porter told me get into bed & cover up. I was wheeled down & went into a lift to a little room with the nurse & 2 anaesthetics. I told them I was nervous & they put me at ease straight awAy. I drifted off asleep then woke up & all was done . I was extatic! Xx

I didn't see the theatre where I had my op. Waited in a little room.. Then when I woke up I was in another room. So u don't see the actual theatre room x

Yep, that's how i feel, i don't want these big old boobs anymore! I'm so glad you've told me that, when everyone is saying 'i was wheeled into theatre' i kept seeing this image of a big white room with glinting silver knives and loads of people in masks, i think i need to calm down abit, haha. You've made me feel soooo much better, thankyou so much, if you think there's anything else i should let me know, please tell me! :) :)

Hey Jooooo, so good to read about the Nuffield being nice, my op is at the Nuffield Bristol and looking at it online it has recently had a massive refurb so it should be lovely there :) I CAN'T WAIT.

I'm worried as Ive just found out I'm anaemic, due to heavy menstrual cycle hope i can still have it done xx

I was supposed to have op on the Monday, but nurse called me on Friday & said I was anemic . Went docs & got some iron tablets, then was fine xx

Any questions/ worries you have just ask me anytime. Are you having it done at the nuffield newcastle under lyme? That's where I went , but I know me prinsloo does other clincs xx

Thanks Joo I'm on iron tablets so hopefully I'll be ok by the time I have it done.. Can't get over how brill yours look really hope mine look that good xx

It's scary as you don't know what to expect but seeing your story is a great comfort mr prinsloo seems like a lovely guy really hope it all goes ok [RS bleep]
