The fat in my cheeks is gone and I have significant jowls

A nightmare

Dr. Idriss recommended this procedure to tighten skin. I brought up concerns over people seeing fat loss and sagging but she blamed poor providers etc and said it had never happened to her. In the months that followed the procedure my skin began to sag rapidly and I now have a completely different face shape. The fat in my cheeks is gone and I have significant jowls despite being thin and in my early 30s. I have so much loose skin that I can pull it out several inches as seen in the photo I posted. This has had a huge impact on my mental health and confidence. As we've seen with covid, different people's bodies can have very different reactions to the same thing. Thousands of people have had laser damage and some people are totally fine. There's no way to know which you'll be. To the doctors who are making money off of this procedure and denying any risk: what you're doing has devastating consequences, please stop offering these products or at least acknowledge the risks so others don't have to go through this nightmare.

That doctor should try the same procedure on her nice plump cheeks and see how it feels. Unless of course she's already pumped with fillers. That's the problem; they create the problem (and make money) and then try to "fix" the problem with fillers and more lasers (and still make money). Any doctor who is not aware of facial fat loss side effects should not even be a physician because they don't understand the technology. Both ultrasound and radio frequency technology is also used for fat reduction body slimming treatments. High energy cannot be controlled as much as they like to think they can control it. There is ALWAYS a risk of facial fat loss when using either of those technologies. What's really concerning is that they bought the machines under false pretenses from the manufacturers that it doesn't cause side effects, and then when they realize that patients ARE ACTUALLY HAVING THOSE SIDE EFFECTS, they continue to use the machine because now they've got to pay for the machine that they bought. From manufacturer to practitioner there is feigned ignorance and a dereliction of responsibility. Type in "Ultherapy damage lawsuit" and you can find an attorney to help you if you want to pursue accountability. I'm sorry this happened to you. This phenomenon should not continue to happen, but greed has no bounds.

No way... you mean Youtube Dr Shereene Idriss??! That's very disappointing and I'm so sorry to hear. How are you doing now? Does she see/acknowledge the damage that it has done to your skin? Thank you for shedding light on your experience -- I'm quite shocked, as she was the one doctor who I kind of "trusted" with her level of experience and knowledge
